Welcome to post #2 of my four part “Christmas break” blog series :). Read my first post here!
In this blog, I want to share one of the most amazing days I had in a really long time! My family took a trip to NYC on a Tuesday night and met up with a couple of my Aunts, my Uncle & my cousins for a delicious dinner in Little Italy.
We took the train into the city in the late afternoon. Mom & I were bright eyed… Dad & Kath, not so much haha.
I couldn’t stop snapping pictures. NYC is breathtaking – especially this time of year. I’ve been countless times, but it never fails to leave me in awe 🙂Obviously we had to stop at the tree!…And take lots of pictures! We met up with my Aunt Julie (AJ) in Grand Central – she was actually riding the same train as us!We made our way to Little Italy 🙂We met up with my cousins for dinner at Pelligrino’s – which was amazing!Group pic outside of the restaurant! We decided to go to Ferraro’s for dessert! We had the yummiest Italian pastries & drinks. (My sister may kill me for posting this – sorry, KBell love you)We ended up enjoying ourselves too much, because before you knew it, it was 11:00pm. After having some subway troubles, we missed the 11:30pm train we planned to take home. Luckily, the next one wasn’t leaving too much later! We got some extra seats, kicked our feet up & we headed out 🙂
We eventually got home around 1:30am – a really long night, but it was worth it. How often do you get to enjoy NYC on a weeknight AND get to sleep in the next day!? Never ;).
It was a really fun trip! We laughed, we ate, we sight-saw – I am so glad that I decided to go :). Maybe we can make it a tradition?
Have you ever been to Little Italy? Or anywhere in NYC during the holidays?
Lovely photos! I was NYC for New Years 2014/15 and we didn’t get to eat at Little Italy. Maybe when I get another chance to go back to the USA, I might take a trip there 🙂 My fave part about our NYC trip was the Empire State Building. Those views are breath-taking 🙂
