Good Morning!

Today I have part three of my four part Christmas break round-up for you. (Find part one: here and two: here)!

So, I’ve had my (recently engaged!!) best friend since I was born! Literally, our Mom’s met in the hospital. My Mom was in labor with me, and her Mom (pregnant with her), was my NICU nurse. They became friends, and after that we became friends, our brothers became friends, and our sisters became friends – all the same age.

We all used to spend nearly every day together growing up, but due to life (sigh), we don’t get to spend as much time together anymore. Over the holiday we miraculously all had time off & decided to have a girls day (missed you, bro’s)!

It was such a wonderful afternoon of tea, treats, makeup, shopping, and plenty of laughs. 😉

The day started with my best friend asking me to be her maid of honor! I am so excited to co-moh her wedding with her little sister. It's going to be amazing :)
The day started with such a high! We all met at my friend’s house before we left and she asked me to be her maid of honor! I was so honored that she wanted me to play such an important role in her big day and I am so excited to co-moh the wedding with her little sister next Summer. It’s going to be amazing 🙂

We went to the most adorable little tea house, The Drawing Room in Greenwich, CT.
We all decided that we wanted to go out for afternoon tea! We went to the most adorable little tea house, The Drawing Room in Cos Cob, CT.
It was so charming on the inside. Couldn't have been a more adorable little place.

We all got to choose a pot of tea. I went with a vanilla chai because I had always wanted to try it. I'm so glad I did, because it was delicious - my new favorite. I may or may not have already bought some since our visit ;)

They had, and I kid you not, the most AMAZING scones EVER. I'm talking fresh out of the oven, warm, flakey, slightly crunchy on the bottom, just all around YUM. Ugh, I'm still thinking about them. On TOP of that, they had the tastiest little finger sandwiches & dessert tortes. I'm ready to plan another visit!

Picture of all us girls...
We had to snag a few pictures before we left! Here’s all the girls 🙂 …

From tea, it was onto shopping!
After tea, it was off to shop! I love downtown Greenwich – it’s such a beautiful area & they have some fabulous shopping.
Some shopping pics. 1) Loved this JLO floppy hat - so close to buying it, but my sister convinced me that it sat on my head strange. She was right (what are sisters for)! Of course, I found the PERFECT one in JCrew ...but it was navy. Wasn't meant to be! 2) Mom getting a smokey eye done by the sweet girl in Sephora (while we tried on lipsticks). 3) And trying on this fabulous pair of light pink sunnies found in Kate Spade.

Do you ever go shopping, not really looking for anything, not really planning to buy, but then fate intervenes? Thats what happened with these shoes! Michael Kors - on clearance - only pair - in my size - nearly 75 off. Mine!

They’re now mine. And I love them. 🙂 #HurryUpWarmWeather

After a long day on our feet, we stopped for some coffees, lattes and hot chocolates. And more desserts, of course.
After a [very] successful day of shopping, we stopped for some coffees, lattes and hot chocolates. And of course…more desserts. [My Mama is so pretty.]
It was really such a perfect day – from start to finish! I wish we were able to do it all over again tomorrow!

Have you been to a cute tea room?

Have you lucked out with any post-Christmas shopping?

XOXO
