Ohh, Influenster, you’ve made me so very happy. I was recently chosen to receive an iconic VIP VoxBox – the Yves Saint Laurent Beauty Box. Gahh, so exciting! I’ve been doing a bit of vacationing this summer, so it’s taken me a while to get these product reviews up – but I finally had some time to work on it 🙂 …
A few weeks ago, I came home to this adorable little black box on my front porch. YSL + Influenster nailed it with their black & gold packaging…
Inside were two products – the YSL Touché Éclat Blur Primer (retails for $52) & the YSL Touché Éclat Blur Perfector (retails for $55). Probably the prettiest little products I’ve ever seen…
This illuminating primer is a clear formula with small gold specks throughout. It’s claims to blur imperfections and boost the radiance of foundation. I am not a huge primer user – I don’t use it on a daily basis, but I will for certain occasions or days where I know I’ll be out for a long while & need my makeup to hold up really well. The Blur Perfector is meant to be applied on top of your makeup and claims to help smooth everything out.
To show my commitment in writing an honest review, I’ve decided to include awkward “before” photos. Please be nice…(Insert monkey with hands over his eyes emoji)
Initially, I thought that this primer would have a sticky / gel-like consistency, but it’s quite the opposite! It goes on so smoothly & leaves your face feeling incredibly soft. While I wouldn’t say it worked miracles, you can certainly notice the wrinkles on my forehead and some of my pores have been lightly smoothed over. YAY! Thumbs up for the primer.
I continued with my regular makeup routine & then used the Touché Éclat Blur Perfector afterwards. This product is so delicate, it has a very light consistency, and is incredibly easy to apply. You simply use the puff to dab the product onto your face once your makeup is complete, or later in the day when you need a touch up. I targeted my forehead, cheeks and chin.
I was really impressed with how very little (if any) of my makeup the puff removed. I don’t typically like to put anything on my face after my makeup is set, but this did exactly what it claimed to do without ruining what I had already done. Just make sure you have enough product on the applicator. 🙂
And here are some after shots!
Overall, I love, love, LOVE these products. I love the way that they are packaged, I love the way that they work, and I love the way that they last. I would have probably never gone out of my way to try either one, so thank you Influenster for giving me the opportunity to do so! 🙂
Have you tried either of these products? What did you think?!

Wow! I love how the combo gave your skin such a beautiful natural glow. I can’t wait to try these YSL products as well. Did you find that either product worked best alone or only as a pair? I love the honesty of your blog and you are so pretty!!
Thank you fort reading, pretty girl! :-* They work well individually! I use the Blur Primer when I do my makeup in the morning & the Blur Perfector as a touch up throughout the day! 🙂
