Statement necklaces… a key component to any wardrobe, and a pain in the butt to store!

After many failed attempts, I finally created the perfect display that has helped me to keep my collection [fairly] organized and at the ready!

To create my necklace board, I used one of the padded ribbon boards that are usually meant to hang photos or notes. They’re always for sale at TJ Maxx/Marshalls, Target, or Walmart. If you can’t find one, you could use a small cork board instead!

Mine is about 1/2 this size. Source

Once I got my board, I hammered some small pin nails across the top ledge [into the wood] about 2″ apart…

I then hung my necklaces from the nails – sometimes double + tripling up!

I’ve tried using push pins + thumbtacks in the past, but the nails have proven to be the most secure + reliable for holding multiple, heavier pieces.

Some may feel it looks a bit cluttered, but I absolutely adore it! Initially, I was looking for a piece of art for this wall, but once full, the board kind of ended up being art in itself!

Being able to see what I have really helps when trying to accessorize my outfits.  Since displaying my necklaces, I can definitely say that I’ve gotten much more use of all my pieces than I did when they were stored in a box or a drawer. 🙂

How do you display your jewelry?

Do you have a necklace board?

XOXO

    • Thank you! It is pretty artistic in its own way ! There are quite a few, but that’s years of collecting! I should do a really good clean out soon though, I wear a lot of them, but a a few could probably be replaced.

      Thanks for reading! XOX

  1. What an awesome idea!! Every single post you write is amazing girl!! I totally need to do something like this for my jewelry. Right now it is just handing in my closet. I totally love how this is displayed!!

    • Yes! I hate when that happens – they always end up destroying or tarnishing if they’re tossed somewhere. I probably could have organized them a bit better for these pics, but I’m always trying on different ones + then throwing them back up…so I suppose it’s pretty realistic lol.

Thank you so much for reading! XOXO 🙂

    • Thank you so much! I have a few really great pieces + a few total junkers that I still like to keep around LOL. Statement necklaces are my favorite type of accessory though – easiest way to spice up an outfit! 🙂

  2. Very cute! I look forward to your posts. 🙂 They really draw people in. Awesome job as always. Now, I need to start wearing necklaces so I can utilize your cute idea. 😉
