Good Morning + Happy Blogmas Day 2! 🙂
As a quick disclaimer, not all Blogmas posts will be holiday related [although most will]. 😉 With that said, I have another mix + max post to share with you today — and the shining star of this outfit is a fabulous floppy hat!
Last January, my parents went to Mexico with my sister. While they were shopping, they came across this hat + knew that I’d *love* it. They brought it home + sure enough — I was obsessed! I’m picky about hats, but this one happened to fit perfectly. The right amount of snug + the right amount of flop. 😉
As much as I adored it, it’s literally been sitting in my closet for nearly a year now. When I started this floating series, I knew that I’d want to style it at some point.
Using the hat as the focus, I began putting my outfit together + instantly thought of my yellow plaid blanket scarf from KnitPopShop. I swear, this scarf was destined to be worn with that floppy!
After settling on those two pieces, I needed the rest of the look to be comprised of warmer, brown tones. I had the perfect pair of brown leggings + a light, cream colored sweater which are BOTH from…
Walmart. Seriously, they were from Walmart…
For shoes, I went with my tan OTK boots!
To me, it doesn’t get any more cute, comfy, or autumn-y than this!

I love challenging myself to mix + max. There’s no better feeling than pulling dust bunny items out of your wardrobe + discovering that wearing them is much easier than you thought!

Haha thank you!! It all worked out well! 🙂 Isn’t that the worst when you know you have items just collecting dust. I love figuring out how to wear them! And the mug wasn’t supposed to be intentional – I was just sipping my tea while we walked around the neighborhood + it happened to match perfectly! Too funny!

Hahaha thank you! And I knowww, I’m 1/2 embarrassed that they’re from Walmart! Everytime I run in the store, I have to pass the women’s clothes + sometimes I’ll see something that’s actually cute + super cheap…I can’t help it!

Ok, the entire outfit is just to adorable! But girl, I think we could wrap you in a burlap sack, throw a scarf around your neck and you would be runway ready. Love it! And yeah, the boots…. are a must have. 🙂
