Good Morning + Happy 14th Day of Blogmas! 🙂
I am so excited to be back with Angie from Indulge Your Inner Foodie for PART 2 of our Holiday Party Series! We’re stepping up our treats + our fashion game a little bit…think fun night with friends!
This week, I’m dressing you up for a casual, but chic holiday party ! We’re going to be stepping out of our comfort zone… getting little fancier + a little edgier. This entire outfit is styled with items from Forever 21. It features a midi skirt + a crop top [two items many women fear], but fear not…no matter your age, or size, you CAN pull them off, and I’m going to tell you how.

I wanted to create a classy, but sassy outfit. The midi skirt, and strappy heels are cute to boot, while the the black nails + the heavy gold jewelry give you a little edge! And then there’s the crop top…
Many women look at a crop top + cringe, but don’t! We’re not going for a belly button baring look, we’re drawing attention to one of the thinnest parts of a woman’s body – the space between her chest + her waist. By pairing a looser fitting crop top with a high waisted midi skirt, you’ll be baring barely, if any, skin. And can I tell you the beauty in a fit + flare midi? Any muffin top action, bloating, or simply stuffed tummies will be completely concealed all night long!
So get your grub + your drink on…starting with this fabulous holiday cocktail recipe from Angie!
This week we are focusing on a middle of the road type of holiday party. Not casual, and not formal, just kind of casual chic? 😉 I racked my brain trying to think of what would highlight the occasion without a lot of preparation, and still bring a sense of elegance without being too formal. And then it came to me, Egg Nog with optional Rum. What would a holiday party be without egg nog?! And the best part is, it doesn’t require any cooking, so get ready to plan your party!
Be sure to visit Angie’s blog to get the complete recipe! I know that I’m saving this one for my upcoming holiday parties! 🙂
Have you ever worn a crop top?
What’s one of your favorite holiday cocktails?
XOXO
Looooove it! I can just see your models walking down the runway as you describe the outfit. I’m not a dressy dress person, but would totally wear this! Awesome 🙂
Thank you! I loved this collab. And YES, you totally could wear this!! I’m tempted to go pick up whole look myself! 🙂
Amazing party outfit love!! As always you nailed it! I can totally see this worn at a fabulous party! Also, totally love those jewelry pieces!! The drink looks amazing!! Heading to her blog now!!
Thank you, love! I knoww – I neeeeeed this outfit! I love chunky gold jewelry too [especially necklaces]! 🙂 The drink looks super yum, I love holiday cocktails! 🙂
Me too!!! Chunky gold jewelry is perfection!!!!
I love that necklace! I wish I could pull off a full, midi skirt but they just don’t work for me.
Aww – some of them can be finicky! I’m super short so sometimes they look just plain silly, but there are some amazing ones out there! 🙂
Super cute outfit!! I have yet to try this look out, but like you said, everyone I have seen it on looks great!!
You could definitely pull it off! It’s one of my favorite combos. Midi skirts are the best! 🙂
This outfit is amazing!! I want to try something like this on the cruise I have coming up! This was just the confidence boost I needed!
Aww yay!!! Go for it, girl! You can totally rock it! So jealous – dying for a fun vaca!! 🙂
I will post if I do!! I am counting down the days till we leave!!:)
Yay! Please do 🙂
I love the midi skirt/crop top look. I’ve neVer tried it but your post may just push me in that direction. I love the choices you made down to the necklace and cuff bracelet. I love that you also chose a bright colored top to go with the skirt. 😊
I love egg nog! Will check out Angie’s recipe!
