I love meeting up with other bloggers. There is nothing more incredible than connecting with positive, hard-working, like-minded women who are hustling towards their goals just as much as you are!  After being introduced to the beautiful Desiree [of Desire + Attire] via one of my college roomies [Miss Jessica!] + learning that we lived so close to one another, we decided to connect!

We talked blogging, ideas, collaborations, and wanting to make all kinds of other plans…  including being in NYC for NYFW.

Seeing as we were only a brief train ride away, we thought it’d be fun to pop into the city for the first day of Fashion Week. Though we didn’t get to sit front row at any major shows, simply being in the area, scoping out the street style, attending a couple of fun events, making really great contacts, and topping it all off with a yummy lunch + some shopping made for a successful day in my book!

Take a look at some of the pics we snapped! 🙂

We started at the Skylight at Moynihan Station where most of the shows were taking place! We then made our way to the Gregory Hotel to check out Kahrianne Kerr’s rocker chic/sophisticated contemporary women’s accessories. While there, we were also introduced to some very sweet ladies who taught us about the Save the Garment Center and work that they do!

Afterwards, we popped into the Caravan Stylist Studio where they were working their beauty magic + hosting a Foot Locker Six: 02 event! Six: 02 is about to open their new NYC retail location and were debuting some unique sneaker designs. We had fun trying them all on + playing in their “sneaker selfie” booth.

We wrapped up our afternoon with the yummiest lunch at The Liberty, followed up by some shopping in Times Square! 🙂

Even with the chilly temps, we had such a fun day and are already planning our next NYFW trip! Be sure to visit Desiree’s blog to check out her post! 🙂

Have you ever been to NYFW?

What’s your favorite thing to do in the city?

XOXO

  1. I love your outfit! I bet the vibe in NYC during Fashion Week can’t be described. I’ve never been to NYFW, but I got to experience Haute Couture and Men’s Fashion Weeks while I studied abroad in Paris. It was an amazing experience!

  2. Going to the NYFW is on my bucket list (as is going to NY for that matter). I would also love if I could ever model AT NYFW but that is highly unlikely to happen. You guys looked amazing and it seems like a great time was had. <3

  3. It’s so nice to have a chance to meet up with other bloggers! I’ve done once a long time ago and it was awesome to have a new friend. Btw, love your outfit and that illustration of you and your friend in the last picture, it looks so cool!

    • Aw, it’s so much fun meeting up with other bloggers — especially when you already feel like you’ve been friends for so long! We had a really great day! Thanks for reading! XO 🙂
