Grease Be Gone!

Hello, my name is Amanda + my natural hair sucks. Have I mentioned that before?! 😉

blow dry headerAside from having flat/thin hair [that to be fair, does completely transform with some product], it’s also prone to getting greasy after about a day. Most women swear by dry shampoo, but every one I had tried was completely wasted on me. Until now…

Remember that wonderful basket of hair products my sweet friend Jackie gave me for Christmas? In it sat a can of dry shampoo that she could not stop raving about! I had yet to find one that changed my life, but after all of her products continued to wow me, I knew it had to be good!

Insert greasy-hair’s biggest weapon…

My Amazing Blow Dry Dry Shampoo + Sheer Spray

My Amazing Blow Dry Secret’s Dry Shampoo Sheer Spray

What makes this product so great? The micro fine tapioca starch absorbs excess oils + product build up while boosting volume at the same time [huge bonus for me]! It also has two-phase odor eliminating technology that removes any mal odors associated with natural oils or other products!

Love! So how do you use it?

Like most dry shampoos, you simply shake the can well + spray your grody roots from about 6-8″ away.

dry shampooOnce the spray has dried, massage it [really well] into your scalp + shake your hair out.

shakeBrush your hair to remove any excess product…and you’re done!
AfterI have to admit, I was pretty impressed with this stuff! Now don’t get me wrong, it won’t give you that freshly washed/blown-out feel [we are still working with dirty hair here], but it worked well enough that I was able to wear my hair down for the entire day! I really don’t think I’ve ever been able to do that [a messy bun is usually inevitable come noon].

I mean, COME ONNNN!!

I mean, COME ONNNN!!

I have to say, this totally lived up to its rave review + I will be savoring the rest of this bottle! 🙂

If you want to give it a try, you can order your own can here [it’s totally affordable]!

Does your hair get greasy easily?

What dry shampoo products do you use?

XOXO

This stuff looks amazing! I’m very cursed/blessed with CRAZY thick hair that doesn’t get greasy easily. I can go 3-4 days without washing and even longer when I use dry shampoo. I’ve been using Tresemme dry shampoo for years, but I think I’m going to try something new when I run out. I’m adding this to my list!

You are so lucky!! That’s really a gift — my Mom is the same, her hair could go for days! I swear, if I wash my hair in the morning, come evening it’s already starting to get a bit greasy. Most dry shampoos make my hair even *more* greasy, so I was really surprised by this stuff! 🙂

I’m obsessed with Bautiste dry shampoo. I’ve tried so many and it’s the only one that works for me. It leaves a little bit of white residue but as a blonde, it just helps me hide my roots! I’ll definitely have to give your recommendation a try! Thanks!

I’m definitely going to have to try that! I have superrr oily, wavy hair and it always gets greasy and flat about halfway through the day. I’ve tried other dry shampoos and none of them have ever done what I needed it to do, but the results you showed in the pictures were amazing!

Nice! haha Love that you used the word grody. Haven’t heard that in forever. I have never used dry shampoo because I have curly hair and never brush it when it is dry other than with my fingers. Your hair looks amazing though!

Ahhh I LOVE the word grody! I have no idea where I even learned it lol. You’re lucky — I feel like curly hair holds up so much better. I’m not a huge fan of having to use dry shampoo, but when your hair needs a little pick me up, it’s a really helpful product to have on hand!! 🙂
