My Mom has got to be the most incredible woman I’ve ever known. There’s really no questioning that.IMG_4758

She is one of those women who was born to be a mother. My brother, sister, and I could not be any luckier. Her heart is so pure, her support is so consistent, her advice is so sound, and her love is so genuine. She is exactly the kind of wife, mother, and woman I want to be.

Between helping my father run his business, keeping up a home, and caring for three children, I really have no idea how she did it [and how she still does it] with such grace!

We are not the easiest of kids, that’s for sure, but she was never too hard on us. Her parenting style is something I pray I’m able to mimic one day. She created a safe + happy home, free of any worry. She encouraged us all to pursue our passions, she was definitely hands on, but knew when to be hands off. She knew when to intervene, and when to let me make my own mistakes. She was never too strict, but she had our respect.

My Mom is kind, polite, and mature in all instances. I swear to you, I heard her curse once…and it was right before we almost got into a car accident lol. She doesn’t hold a grudge, she goes out of her way all of the time for her family, she knows how to make any holiday, birthday, or celebration extra special, she always knows the right thing to say, she sees the beauty in everyday and lives in the moment. She has a way of looking at life and just appreciating it…even when the rest of us can be pretty stubborn!

The older I get, the more I see my Mom as a woman, just like me. I see that she has her own struggles, fears, and flaws just like I do – but I see how she handles them. How she doesn’t let them define her or bring her down, how she works to overcome them, and continuously strives to be the best version of herself… not only for us, but for her.

This woman has taught me more than any other human being in this world — and she continues to do so everyday! I am so grateful to have her in my life, and I am so lucky that she is mine.

So Happy Mother’s Day to you, Mom [I know you’re reading this]! Thank you for a million things, but most importantly, for just being you. You are perfect to me.

I love you with all of my heart. 🙂

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the great Mama’s out there!! 🙂

XOXO

I know that this day is hard for a lot of people. Some have lost their Mom’s, while others may not have the best relationship with theirs. But no matter where your Mom is, or what your relationship is like …she has taught you something. Good or bad, she has played a role in your life + helped shape you into the person you’ve become today. And that, is worth celebrating. 🙂
