I’m excited to share my first tag with you guys today!
I’ll be completely honest, I get tagged to do these kinds of posts pretty frequently, but I’m absolutely terrible about keeping track of + actually doing them! I spend lot of time + take a lot of pride in putting together quality blog posts, but I really want to include some more fun + less formal kinds of things on here too. This tag came at the perfect time…I figured it’d make for a great little weekend post! 🙂

Christina prepared 8 beauty-related questions for me. Take a peek at my answers! –>
1.) What is your one favorite makeup item? I love bronzer! There’s nothing better than having a little color. I feel most confident + beautiful when I’ve got a tan going on [natural or faux]! 😉
2.) When did you first start wearing makeup? I began playing around with makeup in the 7th grade. Concealer was a godsend for sure, and I specifically remember using a dark blue shadow as an eyeliner LOL. But I didn’t start to wear a full face of makeup until the end of my senior year of High School! I had my makeup professionally done for prom and I was completely shocked by how much better my skin looked with foundation! I was immediately hooked from then on. I was the first born…we’re always late to the game! 😉
3.) What is your favorite part out of your makeup routine? Filling in my eyebrows. It’s the one thing I do everyday, even if I don’t wear makeup. 🙂 
4.) Do you prefer volumizing or lengthening mascara? My lashes are really long to begin with, so I’d have to go with volumizing. 🙂 
5.) What makeup brand is your favorite? I love drugstore makeup, and I’m a huge fan of NYX products, but if I could pick any… I’d have to say Benefit. I love everything about their line. Especially their fun + colorful packaging!
6.) Would you prefer to have dry or oily skin? I’ve dealt with both extremes in my life + oh my gosh, I’d hands down prefer oily. Dry skin can be such a challenge.
7.) What is your favorite beauty tool? Hmm, can I pick a hair tool?! I’d have to say my 3-barrel waver!! Anytime you see me with natural looking waves, they’re totally man made! I’ve loved this thing for years!
8.) What is your favorite beauty tip or trick? For a tip…I’m really into highlighter lately. Like really into it. I think it adds the perfect finishing touch to the face! And for a trick… if I’m out + ever find my face super oily + in need of a blot…the paper toilet seat covers in public restrooms make the perfect blotting sheets. It sounds gross, but you obviously use a new one! If those are unavailable, the back side of a receipt works really well too! Trust me on this one! 😉

Loved reading through these Q & A’s! It’s always cool to see where have evolved in the makeup world haha 🙂 BTW my mother-in-law does the same thing with toilet seat covers and it really does work!!

This post was great! I loved reading all your answers. I try to do one tag a month and it’s one of my favorites to write just because it’s so easy and fun. I have super oily skin and will grab anything to blot with in serious situations, and I have to say those toilet covers and receipts are definitely two of my favorites that do the job best! 🙂

I’m totally doing this! I always wanna do a beauty post but I never know where to start! I wish I kept some old pics from high school but didn’t take them in my move. I was quite the make up queen in the 90s lol.

I just started using bronzer earlier this year, but I’m already in love with it. I finally found a shade that worked for my pale skin. Now I feel like my face looks so flat and meh without it. GIRL your eye brows are amazing and always look so good. I didn’t start filling in my eye brows till I was a senior in college. They’re my favorite part too and I always at least swipe some tinted brow gel through them even if I’m not wearing any other makeup. I love NYX too, but if I had to pic an overall favorite, it would definitely be MAC. I love everything they do! I’ve been all about highlighters lately too. I’ve bought a few new ones lately and I’m all about the glow. I loved this tag!
Yay! I’m so glad that you liked it! 🙂 Bronzer is a Godsend. I swear it works miracles -but it can be hard to find one that works really well with your skin. And Amen for eyebrow upkeep! 🙂 I stiiiiiiill have yet to hop on the MAC train. The more you talk about their products the more I really want to try them!!
It really does make such a difference! Once you get on MAC train, you’ll never get off.

I haven’t used my three barrel curler/crimper in a couple years now! Your making me want to bring it back!! Loving that look! And bronzer is the best thing ever!!
