Happy 4th of July weekend!

4th 22

Today, I’m sharing two fun ways you can style a plain white tee for the holiday!

I’m going to be using my favorite Slub Knit White Tee from Forever 21 to create both looks! 🙂 I adore the “basics” section at Forever [if that makes me basic, so be it lol] but they have such an affordable selection of tanks, tees, leggings, etc. that actually fit really well! forever 21 white tee

I wanted to cover your low-key, 4th of July picnic/pool day/ BBQ as well something a little more dressed up — say maybe a fun night out with your girlfriends?  🙂

For this daytime outfit, I paired my white tee with these distressed, light wash, Brandy Melville jean shorts [similar style linked above], a thin woven red belt, strappy sandals, and a blue tassel scarf. Blue tinted Ray Bans + my gold Michael Kors watch completed the outfit! The only thing missing? A better tan! LOL

I really wanted to create a dressier red, white, and blue outfit — and I knew that this red skirt would be perfect for the part! I tucked my white tee into the pencil skirt, added a bold blue statement necklace, a baby blue clutch, and my nude mules. I could totally see myself wearing this out to a dinner, happy hour, or something that required a little more effort than Look 1! 🙂

I love being able to use one article of clothing in multiple ways, and I’m not sure there’s anything more versatile than a white tee! In reality, I’ll probably be wearing something along the lines of the first look this weekend, but it’s fun to play dress up! 🙂

Wishing you all a wonderful + safe 4th of July weekend!

Do you have any fun plans this weekend?

What’s your go-to style for a casual picnic/BBQ?

XOXO

    • Aww you’re so cute!! I can’t wait to check yours out!! I need to bring back my WIWTW posts or something similar…they just need a little revamping! Thanks for reading, love + have a great weekend! XOXO

  1. Finding the perfect white tee is a pain in the***! But worth the struggle! I’ve turned to banana Republic for mine now. But i won’t be celebrating the 4th down here. However our independence day is 5 days later on the 9th lol and I’ll consequently be doing a 3 day weekend in Uruguay. Can’t wait to hear how your holiday goes 🙂

    • It is hard to find the perfect tee! I’m accident prone, so I love that the Forever tees are so cheap, I just stock up + repurchase as necessary! 🙂 And thank you, I’m looking forward to the holiday weekend…and a little sun time! It must be kind of strange not celebrating the 4th…and it being winter? Hahaha Enjoy your Uruguay trip though!!! 🙂 XOXO

  2. You look so cute!! I love both of these outfits and I’m right there with you on taking it casual this weekend! Hope you have a fun and safe 4th! 🙂

  3. I love a good white tee, but my go to is a solid black tee. There is no such thing as too many solid black shirts of any kind. Like the white tees, they are so versatile and easy to style. A black tee, skinny jeans, statement necklace, and flats/sandals is my go to outfit. Easy, effortless, and chic–my favorite combo!

  4. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again… your style is ON POINT. I can’t get over it! So simple (which I love) but SO cute and stylish! Totally gotta get my hands on a pair of those shorts!
