Hi Everyone! Today, I want to quickly chat about the most powerful, the most beautiful, and the most affordable accessory anyone could wear…their confidence!
To me, there is nothing more beautiful than a person who is comfortable being exactly who they are. Maybe you don’t know exactly who you are, and that’s okay! Life is a journey and we’re all constantly growing + changing, but you should know what you like and you should know what makes you feel good….and that’s more than enough to get started!
I rounded up 5 easy things that you can do to instantly boost your confidence today…like right now! 😉
Take a peek. –>
1] Get dressed. This sounds like a no brainer, but I mean more than “put on clothes”. When we put just a smidge of effort or thought into what we’re wearing for the day, it sets a positive tone. You don’t have to dress to the nines or go all out, but simply choose one article of clothing to wear that makes you feel good. Whether it be a flattering top, a colorful skirt, a pretty lingerie set, or a favorite pair of shoes that you rarely take out of your closet…put them on! When you feel good in what you’re wearing, you’ll feel more confident.

2] Call a friend.
Or family member! Make time to speak with the people who love and care about you. Or better yet, make plans to meet! Sometimes we get so caught up in life that we forget to touch base with those who both ground us + lift us up! I’m not sure there’s any better confidence boost than having a great conversation with someone who believes in you, who’s proud of you, and who love’s you. Sometimes it’s ok to rely on others help get us out of a funk + into a better mental space. I can guarantee that once you hang up, you’ll feel refreshed, revived, and reassured.

3] Treat yourself!
For me, a fresh manicure works the craziest wonders. It is downright difficult for me to feel put together or be productive when my nails are not painted. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I like to start my weeks off with a fresh set! 😉 It may seem so silly, but that is my “thing”. Surely you have yours! Maybe it’s getting your hair blown out, buying fresh flowers for your bedroom, taking a spin class, treating yourself to a facial, or heck maybe it’s just 30 minutes of alone time to read a book. Whatever it is that brings you joy…make time for it. Don’t wait. Schedule it into your day. When you’re taking care of yourself, you’re loving yourself. And that’s what confidence is all about.

4] Do the prep work!
You know that saying “why put off until tomorrow what you can do today?” It’s such a great mantra + is applicable to all kinds of situations. Maybe you want a new job, but haven’t been proactive about looking…see what’s out there and send your resume out this afternoon! Maybe you’re trying to lose a few pounds…make a healthier breakfast choice or do something active tonight that will bring you one step closer your goal. Or maybe you have a lengthy list full of errands/tasks that you’ve been putting off…try to cross something off of it this morning! For me, the feeling of preparedness is definitely a confident booster. Having things in order, tackling a to-do list, and being organized keeps me sane + allows me to enjoy more of life’s fun stuff! 🙂 Do something today that your future self will thank you for!

5] Compliment yourself + someone else.
Yes, right now! Take a moment to think of something you’re really good at. Whatever journey you’re on in life, think of how far you’ve come. Do you like your outfit today? Pat yourself on the back for allowing yourself to wear something that makes you feel good. After your pep talk with yourself, give someone else a compliment! A stranger you see on the street, your barista, the guy at the bank. I told the girl behind the register at Macy’s last week that I loved her winged eyeliner + you’d of thought it was the first nice thing she’d been told in weeks! It was so sweet + she thanked me profusely for making her day. I genuinely loved her liner [it was Kat Von D, and definitely want to try it out] + it took very little effort at all on my part. Making others feel good should make you feel good too. And to be honest, the world could use a little more “feeling good” right about now.
I hope this post was helpful for you! Feeling down once in a while is inevitable, but it’s important to remember that we have the ability to pick ourselves right back up! 🙂
Do you have any confidence boosting tips?
How do you like to treat yourself?

“…When you change your “Voicemail” to “Friend” for the good of the blog post. I thought it was clever!” – this cracked me up!! Happy Friday!
LOL! I was like “howwww exactly do I represent this in a photo?!” Glad you got a laugh! Happy Weekend! XOXO
I always crack up at that “when someone’s compliments me”… Hahaha! Awesome post! All things that definitely make my day better!! 🙂
LOL! I have never seen it before, I was googling memes + DIED when that one popped up!!! Too accurate!! XOXO
All good points! The getting dressed is a must. If I’m having a “day” I’ll put on makeup even if I’m not leaving the house just so I can “feel human” lol It works almost every time 😉
Haha, yes!! It seems so so silly, but it really does work wonders!! 🙂
Confidence is such a huge aspect in how happy a person is. I have always been a pretty positive and happy person, but am also shy a lot of times which has held me back a lot. I’ve noticed that the older I get, the more confident I become with myself and have seen the difference it has made in my life. It’s incredible! These are all great tips, I definitely cannot start my week without a fresh mani either. I’ve been doing my same routine for ten years and it never fails me!
I’m with you! The older I get the easier it is to be confident in myself…and not really care about the opinions of others. It took a long while to get there + is still work in progress, but it’s an incredible feeling! And AMEN for ManiMondays! I swear, manis are like magic!!
Lovely and uplifting! Thank you. 😊🌻
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it!! XO
Thanks for the cute tips! You had me smiling while reading them!
I’m glad you enjoyed them! Thanks for reading!! XO
Love this post Amanda. I definitely think #1 is super helpful for me! If I am just gross in sweatpants all day I am not loving myself. That’s one of the reasons I started my blog! To force myself to wear all of my actually cute clothes instead of wearing the same old leggings every day 🙂
Thank you!!! It’s so so true, just the tiniest bit of effort makes the biggest difference in your confidence/mood!! 🙂
I just came across this today and I absolutely love it. I love the complimenting tip. I will definitely put it to good use today!

These are great tips and they all work. When I’m feeling blah a long bath + doing my makeup + getting dressed makes me feel so much better. Having someone to talk and vent to is KEY. I’m so thankful that I have friends are willing to just listen and let me get things off of my chest. I fresh mani or a new lipstick are easy, inexpensive ways to boost my mood. I just feel better when my nails are done and my lipstick is on. I’m so glad I’m not alone in this!
YESSSS!! It’s the truth! Getting dressed, and making yourself look better, always makes you feel better! And AMEN for good friends! XOXO
