It’s that time of year…back to school!

While some kids are already in the classroom, others are making their return this week. Even though I’m not going to back to school, I still wanted to get into the spirit!

Growing up, this was my favorite time of year. The first week back at school was always so exciting! There was nothing better than walking down the hall with a great tan, a new outfit, unused binders, an empty planner, and a fresh beginning. That novelty usually wore off super quickly, but it didn’t stop me from enjoying those first few days!  Although I’ve technically been out of school for quite a while now, the end of the Summer season still sparks that new wardrobe/back to school bug!

Today, I partnered up with my friends at No Nonsense to share this really cute back to school look!  I love No Nonsense, for many reasons: 1] They are the end all be all when it comes to cute tights & leggings. 2] They have so many unique prints & styles that you won’t find anywhere else! 3] Their stuff is SUPER affordable!

To get that “back-to-school feel”, I wanted to build an outfit featuring a fun pair of leggings that would carry a hint of Summer into the classroom because let’s be real, everyone’s trying to hold onto that last bit of vacation! 😉

I’m not usually one for printed pants, but I saw these Brocade Denim Capri Leggings & could not get over how fun they were! A million different ways to style them popped into my head, but I absolutely love the way that this particular look came together!

I paired the leggings with one of my favorite basic tops from Target — an oatmeal heather tank, and this Vivid Mid Indigo Jean Jacket from LOFT which I snagged on super sale over 4th of July weekend! 🙂

My flip flops are from Old Navy & my faux leather blush clutch is from Target! Everything in this post is still available for sale, except for the flip flops…but I’ve linked a very similar pair below!

  1. What a great back to school look! I love those leggings – I would totally wear them! I love how you put everything together. Such an easy outfit to throw on and get out the door! I wish I had girls so I could style them like this for school. Love it! Xx

  2. Cute look. My middle school age niece has a dress code that leggings must be worn only with tunic tops that completely cover the derriere. Your look is perfect yet would be unacceptable, what is this world coming to?

    • I actually just read an article yesterday about a poor 6th grader who got in trouble for wearing printed leggings, however her tush was completely covered!! I usually opt to cover my bum as well, but these leggings are actually pretty thick & wear more like a lightweight jean. At such young ages what do these little girls even have to cover up?! I am 100% about treading on the more conservative side & covering what needs to be covered, but don’t get me started on dress codes…some of them are a liiiittle out of control!

  3. I’ve been on a legging KICK lately (no pun intended)! Just checked these out and love how affordable they are and how you can go from day to night so easily.

    • Hahaha!! Love the pun! Leggings are seriously the best – definitely an easy day to night piece. And these really are super affordable & decent quality! I love all of their fun styles! 🙂 Thanks for reading! XOXO

  4. Omgsh girl you are perfect!! I love those leggings so much and love how you styled them! They look super comfy which totally calls my name! I totally loved buying fresh school supplies too. Nothing like picking out coordinating notebooks and binders! Love it!!!

    • Thank you girlie, it was a fun look!! And ahh I love school supplies! I’ve been wandering the aisles at Walmart/Target/Staples & scoping out all the new goods this year! 🙂 I may or may not have bought a pack of sparkly jelly pens LOL!

  5. I live in a college town and when I drove through campus the other day, I was almost a little envious of the students. Then I thought about all the homework, papers, projects, etc. and then I didn’t miss it so much haha I LOVE those printed pants. You are right, you can style them so many ways, but this way was perfect for back to school. Going to go check out this brand now!

    • Haha!! I miss the first week of school! But yes, after that, it’s kind of meh. After 16+ years of school, going home & having zero papers to write or tests to study for is the most amazing feeling!! I’d love to go back to study fashion, or something I’d be thoroughly interested in…maybe one day! And yes, No Nonsense has so many amazing tights/leggings — & they’re such good people!! 🙂

  6. Super cute girl! I’m going to have to check out these fun leggings! I’m right with you, even though I’m not going back to school, I have a big shopping spree planned tomorrow to get some new fall pieces!!
