l'oreal ever fresh

Hi Friends!  I’ve got a product review coming your way today! 🙂

I was recently sent the L’Oreal Ever Fresh Anti-Dandruff Shampoo & Conditioner and the L’Oreal Micro-Exfoliating Scalp Scrub to test out. I don’t really suffer from dandruff, but my scalp does tend to become a bit dry in the winter. Either way, I’ve used products meant to treat dandruff in the past, so I had no problem giving this line a shot! 🙂

I hopped in the shower and first opened the scrub. I had never used a product like this and was anxious to try it. My scalp is a bit complex to me. It doesn’t flake,  but it has the ability to become dry, itchy, …and oily? How that is possible is beyond me, but I figured a product meant to treat the scalp would be beneficial to start using! My head could use a little loving. 🙂

loreal-micro-exfoliating-scrubThe consistency of this product is remnant of a conditioner mixed with an apricot scrub. I dampened my hair & applied this directly to my scalp. It is not too harsh of an exfoliant and actually feels quite amazing! Once you’ve let it sit for a bit, make sure to rinse it out very well! The tiny apricot seeds are tricky to wash clean and I did notice a few hanging around well after my hair was washed and styled.  Overall, I really enjoyed this treatment and have begun incorporating this scrub into my weekly routine!

From there I went on to use the shampoo and conditioner

ever fresh sulfate free anti dandruff shampoo

This past year, I began paying more attention to the ingredients in my shampoo and I love that this line is sulfate free and gentle on color (as we know, I’m always trying to protect my color!)

I’m kind of particular about scents, especially when it comes to my hair products, but I really like how the shampoo smells! I enjoy the way that it lathers, and I feel like my hair and scalp got a thorough cleaning with these products. For me, it’s hard to have any gripes with a conditioner…as long as it detangles and smoothes, it’s a-ok in my book. Luckily, this one did all of that and smells fantastic as well. I had been using two other shampoo/conditioner’s in the shower and I’m happy to report that these products have officially made it into rotation. 🙂

I also had the chance to test another hair product, the éprouvage Replenishing Leave-In Conditioner

eprouvage leave in conditioner I don’t like using too many products on freshly washed hair, but after reading hundreds of wonderful reviews about this, I was excited to try it. I applied it just to my damp ends which usually crave some additional moisture. First impression… I ADORE how this smells! I wish I could use it as a body lotion.

The product itself resembled a very lightweight conditioner. I used just a spritz and it didn’t feel too thick or greasy. Once my hair was dried and styled, I loved the way that it looked! All of the products combined made for a really clean and healthy style.

Overall, I have no complaints. I really do enjoy using these products and have been doing so for the past three weeks! Everything is very affordable and gets my seal of approval. If you do suffer from dandruff, this may be something you want to try. If you’re in the market for a leave in conditioner, you *defintitely* need to grab yourself a bottle of the éprouvage!

Thank you all for reading, I hope you have a great week! 🙂

Have you tried any of these before? Thoughts on the scrub?!

What are some of your favorite hair care products?

XOXO

I was sent these products free for testing purposes…which is always fun & allows me to continue generating new content…. but all opinions are my very own! 🙂

  1. I use the L’oreal line of sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners, usually the ones for moisturizing and protecting. I tried a lot of sulfate-free products (some a little pricey) before finding these. I especially love the way the shampoo lathers, which is something I didn’t like about a lot of the other shampoos I tried. I alternate my shampoo with one that treats the scalp and nourishes hair follicles. Do I recall you mentioning that your hair is fine? Mine is, so leave-in products can be tricky, but I still like the idea of some added protection from heat/styling tools. Your hair looks absolutely gorgeous, so I may need to give this one a try!

    • The lather on this one really is amazing! Yes, I have very fine hair & do avoid most leave in products. I just like the eprouvage on my ends, they seem to dry out the quickest 🙁 And thank you so much for the kind compliments, I love getting to try new products that I end up actually liking! haha XOXO

    • Give it a try!!! I can’t fully speak on the dandruff aspect, but I haven’t noticed any since using it, so I guess that’s a plus haha! I’ve been enjoying it as my regular shampoo, I really have no complaints. Worth a shot — really affordable too! Thanks for reading girlfriend. 🙂
