I am so excited to share this post with you today, it has been three months in the making!
Back in January, Stacey Palancia of Blush Couture reached out to me asking if I would be interested in collaborating! She had gotten my name from one of my former employers, Candice Coppola of Jubilee Events (truly one of the best wedding planners in the biz). Once Stacey and I chatted, we embarked on a three month skincare journey! I visited her once a month for an amazing hydrating facial, and I began using some new (to me) skincare products that were a serious upgrade to my daily routine. I’ve learned so much from Stacey and have absolutely noticed an improvement in my skin since working with her.

I want to talk a little bit about my experience at Blush and share with you some of the invaluable tips that Stacey has shared with me!
First off, Blush is the definition of a hidden gem. Located off a really busy road, it’s not easily visible from the street (a bit of a bummer), but it’s worth the hunt to get there. The spa space is very bright, clean, and inviting, and Stacey is a ray of light herself! She couldn’t be any more professional, friendly, or kind – which is evident the moment you meet her. At my first facial, she chatted with me about my current skincare routine, some of the products I was using, and the type of skin that I have. Once she learned a bit more about my skins history, she ushered me into the treatment room! The cozy space is warm, dim lit, and very relaxing. She stepped out while I changed into a towel wrap, headband, and hopped into the heated bed – yes, heated. I NEED ONE OF THESE!

She returned, and began what was honestly the most wonderful 90 minute skincare experience of my life! At Blush, Stacey uses all Environ products (which are phenomenal). The facial begins with a purifying oil and clay massage under steam to loosen dead cells and awaken the skin. I actually really loved this part, you can literally feel your skin coming alive and your pores opening up! From there, she performed an ultrasonic treatment to loosen dirt and debris before beginning the facial.
At this point, I could have gone home because my skin felt so refreshed, but we were just getting started! Stacey applied a Lactic Acid exfoliant which aids in reducing redness, exfoliating dead and compromised skin cells and aids in moisturizing your skin!
Next was a neck and facial massage using vitamin A, C and E as well as antioxidants which help to lift and tone tired muscles in the face. To finish the treatment, a cooling algae and mineral mask is applied to help calm and tighten your skin. While the mask dried, my hands and arms were treated to a super relaxing massage. (Have you seen all the “frosting” facial videos floating around Facebook!? This is one of them!!)

I was lucky to test out another treatment that Blush offered that involves an LED Therapy Light. This Celluma product uses light energy to improve cellular health by accelerating the repair and replenishment of compromised tissue cells. I relaxed under this for about 30 minutes and aside from all of its claimed benefits, the light on its own had me feeling totally rejuvenated!

After 90 minutes of true pampering, I left the spa feeling like a totally new woman each-and-every-time. At least a woman with a new face! 🙂
We discussed what kinds of products I should be using at home, and I began incorporating a couple of Environ products into my daily regime. Stacey said that a good toner and moisturizer were most important, so I began there. Can I just say that good skincare products will change your life?! I do have some trusty drugstore favorites, but something about applying the good stuff makes me feel like I’m treating and caring for my skin in a way I never have before.
The Botanical Infused Moisturising Toner assists in the controlling of uneven skin tones, blemishes, and helps with the appearance of fine lines. It’s very gentle, yet effective; I can feel it “working” immediately.
The Vita-Antioxidant Moisturiser helps to normalize and improve the skins natural moisture levels, improve the appearance of fine lines, create a more even-looking skin tone, and minimizes visible signs of aging/sun damage to promote healthy looking skin! I love the way the moisturizer feels on my face, and the fact that I’m feeding my skin some of the Vitamin A and C that it needs. I am a bit terrified, because I have become hooked! My wallet may never be the same, but neither will my skin. 😉

Before this experience, I had never received a proper facial. I had always wanted one, but they’re pricey and weren’t at the top of my priority list! Being a lover of at-home treatments, I thought I had my skincare routine down pat. False. I’m not sure how I will ever go back to a facial-less life. Booking regular facials helps with signs of aging, helps to keep your skin glowing and refreshed, and will honestly make you feel better! Stacey recommended I get a facial every 3 months; some women may need to go more frequently, some even less. When I think of all the money I spend other things in a 3 month time frame, it seems silly not to invest in something that will truly make a difference in my appearance and the healthy longevity of my skin. Clothes and makeup can only do so much, healthy skin will serve you well!

Before i moved, I was getting regular facials and my skin never looked better. My girl was so could and I’m so scared I won’t find someone as good as her. I need to just give someone in my area a try. Your skin looks amazing!
Thank you so much! I can imagine being extremely selective about anyone coming near my face! I would definitely look into some local spas and try to find a new esthetician to trust & love! I cannot believe I went 28 years without a facial! It’s certainly been a game changer for my skin. So grateful for Stacey and all she has taught me and the products she’s introduced me to! I hope you find someone just as wonderful!! XOXO
This is great!! I have never had a facial before I definitely need to find a place near me =) Xo
