My lips and skin tend to be very dry year round, and require quite a bit of moisturizer. As the Summer winds down and we move into cooler temps, I know my skin is going to be a little more thirsty than normal. I love to exfoliate my lips and wanted to share a delicious DIY scrub that not only works really well, but is too easy to make (with ingredients that you probably have in your pantry right now)!

  • 1/2 tsp. of honey (or agave)
  • 1 tsp. of olive oil
  • 2 tsp. brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract

The honey and olive oil combination creates an incredibly hydrating mixture that’s going to soak into and completely rehydrate your lips. The brown sugar is going to gently exfoliate any dead skin cells and leave the surface feeling extra smooth. The vanilla just makes it smell incredible!

I love this scrub! If I’m short on time, I’ll just combine the honey and sugar for a quick exfoliant, but all four ingredients together are definitely a winning combo. You can package any left overs into a small lip balm container and use them again at a later date!

Let me know if you’ve ever made this scrub before, if you plan to try it out, or if you have any other DIY beauty products that you love to make at home! 🙂

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend! I’ve been following Hurricane Irma and pray that everyone in her path is able to evacuate or properly prepare for her arrival. Please be safe!

XOXO
