A good foundation applicator will change your life. Well, at least your face! I swear you could wear mud for foundation and you could make it look great with the right tools (wait, should I put that to the test?!) I wanted to share the two applicators that I absolutely love and use regularly! Hint: if you’ve watched any of my YouTube videos, you probably know which ones I’m talking about! 😉
Real Techniques Expert Face Brush
I was never much of a foundation brush fan, but since picking this up in the Spring, I’ve been using this tool nearly every day! I apply some foundation to my face or the tip of the brush, and then blend it into my skin in small, circular motions. I love how evenly it distributes the product, I don’t find it to be streaky at all, and I think it works so quick! If you don’t have a lot of time to get ready in the morning, you need one of these – and for the price, it’s a no brainer! I found one online for….you ready for this… FIVE DOLLARS!!
Next up is a crowd favorite and kind of an obvious pick…
Original Beauty Blender
Team Original Beauty Blender for life (I’ve tried a few dupes, and nothing ever measures up!) I actually use my BB for concealer more often than I do for foundation, but it works phenomenally for either. Most makeup junkies have been using BB’s for years, but if you’re new to the makeup world, or haven’t ever tried one out – I promise you, it’s the best $20 you’ll ever spend! They recommend replacing them every 3 months or so, but I wash mine after every use (I find that cleansing oils work best) and I’ve definitely been able to stretch it’s lifespan. It still looks like new!
I highly recommend these products; they’ve both been such favorites for months now! And while we’re on the subject…I recently tried one of the trendy foundation applicators that has took the internet by storm in 2017! The silicone blender.
Spoiler: I was not impressed…like, at all. WHO THOUGHT OF THIS THING!? If you want a laugh, check out the latest video on my channel.
Have you tried a silicone applicator? What did you think? Did I use it wrong!? LOL
Enjoy the rest of your week, guys!
