This is one of my favorite times of year for nail polish because all of the holiday lines are out! I recently got my hands (or nails) on Morgan Taylor’s Little Miss Nutcracker collection and couldn’t wait to start swatching!

First things first, how great is the name of this line? I’m pretty sure it doesn’t get much cuter than Little Miss Nutcracker. There are a total of 7 polishes in this collection, 6 traditional lacquers and one specialty glitter topcoat.

I was so bummed because a few days before I planned to swatch this line, I broke a couple of nails. 🙁 I’m not a fan of swatching on nubby nails, but I didn’t want to wait any longer to get this post up! If you’re into nail polish, you’re going to want to check out these shades…

Don’t Toy With My Heart. This is a redish-maroon polish with a hint of shimmer. It wears beautifully and although I’m wearing 2 coats here, you could probably get away with one. How fabulous is this red!? It doesn’t get much more HOLIDAY than this! 🙂

Just TuTu Much. To be 100% honest, I was very skeptical of this shade in the bottle. Yellow and gold tones can be very difficult to wear on lighter finger (at least mine), but this colors is absolutely stunning! I’m wearing 2 coats, and while it’s a bit glizty, it’s a great option for Christmas and New Years Eve!

You Crack Me Up. This green stole my heart the moment I saw it. I’m not usually drawn to shades like this, but this time around, I couldn’t help it! It’s one of the few glitter polishes that provides complete coverage with 2 coats. I love that! This baby works for Christmas, and will double for your St. Patrick’s day mani! 😉

Baby It’s Bold Outside. Say hello to the perfect creamy navy blue! This is one of those shades that’s hard to do just right, but Morgan Taylor hit the nail on the head. This is only one coat and it’s perfectly opaque! I adore this shade in the Fall/Winter, but sometimes crave a deep blue in the Spring/Summer as well! A new year-round fave for me. Plum-Thing Magical. Deep purples are a go-to this time of year! This polish has the slightest hint of gold shimmer and looks even better in person. It’s a really stunning shade that I know will be getting quite a bit of use in the coming months.

Dreaming of Gleaming. How fab is this silver?! Similar to the gold polish above, this is a tricky color to pull off on lighter fingers – however, I was pretty impressed with how it wore! Much more appealing than I thought. This polish will get you through every holiday party until the New Year!

I really do love them all, but I think my favorites are Just Tutu Much and Baby It’s Bold Outside. You’ll notice that I didn’t swatch the glitter…it didn’t look great on naked nails, but those silver specks look pretty fabulous atop any other polish!

Have you guys thought about your Christmas manicures yet? I feel like there’s nothing better than a traditional red! 🙂

XOXO

Thanks so much to Morgan Taylor and Preen.Me for sending me this polishes! 🙂
