Happy April Ladies! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend and are excited for the new month! I for one, am so glad that we’ve made it here. The kickoff to 2018 was pretty lousy in the Northeast. Between the chilly temps and weekly snowstorms, I couldn’t be any more excited for Spring!
January, February, and March felt like both the longest and shortest months ever…and somehow, I missed the boat on my favorites posts! I was so good about them in 2017 and vowed to keep up with them this year, but I’ve definitely been slacking. I want to make up for my slow start to 2018 by rounding up a few of the items, products, books, and treats that I’ve been really loving the past three months! Take a peek. 🙂
Wet n Wild Products. I had been hearing so many great things about Wet n Wild products this year and decided to check them out for myself. Needless to say, I found a few new favorites that have become part of my daily routine. The Photo Focus Foundation (Soft Beige), the MegaGlo Makeup Stick (Nude For Thought), and the MegaLast Lipstick (Bare It All) have been on repeat. I also tried their H20 Proof Liquid Eyeliner (Black) which I have yet to feature anywhere, but TRUST, it’s good. All of these exceeded my expectations and are 100% worth checking out if you’re in the market for some new, affordable makeup! See everything (minus the liner) in action in this video:
NYX Products. I received a really cool package of products from NYX Cosmetics last month and couldn’t wait to dive into it! I’ve been a fan of their line for a while so I had high really hopes! While I liked most of the products they sent, there were a couple that stood out to me. The Honey Dew Me Up Primer is awesome – thicker in consistency, but makes for a smoother makeup application, and the HD Studio Photogenic Concealer (Light) is a must-try! I featured both (among others) in a recent IG video. Click here to watch it!
Profusion Products. If you follow my blog, you know all about my love for Profusion Cosmetics! I’ve been really enjoying their color correcting and their Mixed Metals Peach Palette lately. If you have yet to get your hands on any of their makeup, I suggest you get to it! 😉
Flower Beauty Lash Warrior and Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara. I love to layer my mascaras, and the combination of these two has been my favorite lately. The wand of the Flower Beauty mascara is sharp. The bristles are hard plastic, while the Total Temptation brush is much fuller and softer. However, when used together…you get really cool results!
Olay Cleansing Infusions Crushed Ginger Body Wash. I am so into this stuff! I’ve featured it in a couple of posts, but it really has been a favorite. I adore the scent – it lingers all day, the micro scrubbing beads gently exfoliate the skin leaving it with the slightest glow. I’m almost out, I need a new bottle STAT!
GLAMGLOW YOUTHMUD Mask. Hallelujah, I have found the miracle mask. This mask may be my favorite of all time. It tightens, it brightens, it softens, it seriously brings an element of youth back to your face. Upon application, you’ll feel the tingles…it burns ever so slightly, but eventually subsides. And then it just sucks your face right up! Once you wash it off, I promise, you’ll be amazed at the immediate results. I used it on my boyfriend the other night & he ordered a tub for himself the next day. It’s worth every single penny!
Green Bomber Jacket. I picked up this jacket at Bob’s Stores when I met up with them for my $100 Style Challenge and I’ve barely taken it off since! It’s honestly the best everyday coat especially as the temperatures begin to warm up. It’ll be a great staple piece come Fall!
Varsity Teddy Jacket. I had been eyeing this coat for months! I couldn’t really justify buying it, but when it went on clearance, I knew I had to snag it! I love the mix of material and the cozy fit. Can you tell I’ve been really into jackets lately?! 😉 It sold out online, but is still listed for $12… if you find one in-store, show them THIS LINK & ask them to price match it for you. It worked for me! 🙂
Pink Lace Up Pullover. I’ve been a pullover fanatic this winter, and this one is my latest fave! It’s honestly the softest material I’ve ever felt, and I love the cute lace detail in the front. I wish I had a link, but it was a TJ Maxx find!
Tommy Bahama St. Barts for Women Body Spray. I was in need of a body spray and sampled a ton of scents at my local TJ Maxx when I stumbled upon this one. It’s a bit masculine, but I absolutely adore it! I’ve been wearing it daily, and often get complimented on it. I had to include it in this round up! 🙂
Girl Scout Cookie Flavored Coffees! I hate to admit that I hopped on this train, but CHOO-FREAKING-CHOO! If you haven’t tried the Samoa & Tagalong inspired coffees at Dunkin Donuts, you must. Super, super yum!
Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng. I’m back on my reading game! My bookclub has been revived and this was our pick for March. I was a bit on the fence about it, but ended up really enjoying the story! It was an easy read with lots of interesting characters. If you’re looking for a good book, I’d highly recommend!
Mani of the Month: Rendezvous “Gelish”. My nails were so nice and long, until this past Thursday, when I broke two…badly! So, now they’re all filed down to nothings, but it’s been quite a while since I had this kind of fingernail freedom, so I’m embracing it! Prior to the break, I was LOVING this polish! It’s actually one of my oldest bottles (we’re talking like 6 years old), and I hadn’t worn it in forever! I’m glad I busted it back out, it may be on repeat for a while.
Whew – that’s everything! I love this round up, I’ve been using almost all of these products on a daily basis, and wearing the clothes on repeat. There have been a lot of goodies to love lately. I kind of liked sharing a January-March round up! Maybe I’ll share the next one in another 3 months?!
Thank you guys for reading! What are some of your favorite products lately? Have youb used any of these? Let me know below!
PS: If you’re not following me on Instagram…you’re going to want to do that, I’m launching a really cool giveaway tomorrow!! 😉
XOXO
Total temptation is such a good mascara! I am going to have to try wet and wild next time I go to the Target. Always looking for a good concealer. 🙂
Such a great mascara. 🙂 And yes! You must check out some WNW products, I’m shocked that they’re so good! If you like creamy/liquid concealers, that NYX one is amazing! XO
That’s a great nail color. I’m looking forward to another gel mani Wednesday while the banana bread is baking! 🙂
So fun!!!! You’re the best! XO
You know we love when Ms. Lily makes an appearance on your blog! 😉
I love GlamGlow and it’s been a while since I’ve used a mask. I saw you said it tingles. How do you think it would do on sensitive skin? As I get older, my skin is getting more and more sensitive! 🙁
Haha trying to get her to cooperate for photos is tricky, but I love when I can include her in posts! 🙂 Okay, that particular mask is amazing, I want to do a whole post on it. But it really, really does tingle for the first 2-3 minutes or so. After that it completely stops & feels like nothing. Once removed, there’s zero irritation whatsoever and your face honestly looks brand new! My skin can be sensitive at times, but I’m not sure how it’d react on others. Next time you pop by Sephora see if they’ll give you a sample and test it out on small area; if you can handle it, I’d 100000000% recommend you get it – best mask I’ve used in a while. 🙂 I hope you guys had a nice Easter and a great weekend! XOXO
Thanks, Amanda!! Good idea, I’ll get a sample first. They really do have great masks! 🙂
We had a great Easter and hope you and your family did too. Please say hi to your momma for us! xoxo
