Mother’s Day is just a couple of weeks away, and I’m so grateful to be able to celebrate the beautiful woman I’m so lucky to call Mom. Life would be so different without her, I would be so different without her. Today, I want to share a little bit about what makes my Mom so special, some of the things she’s taught me, and what I hope be as a Mom one day. Along the way, we’re going to browse some beautiful Mother’s Day gift ideas from Michaels Jewelers! 🙂

My Mom is one of a kind and truly my right-hand woman! She is always willing to drop everything to help me out; my blog would probably be non-existent without her! It’s hard working alongside family, especially when you get stressed easily (…raises hand), but my Mom is always so patient and not only willing, but eager to help me in any way she can.

She’s my photographer, my +1 to most events, she’s always trying to brainstorm fun posts or scout locations to shoot, she’s my problem solver, she’s my motivation, she’s my go-to for business advice, personal advice…and all the while, she still manages to be a really great Mom. Not only to me, but to my two siblings as well.

I’m really excited to team up with Michaels Jewelers again for todays post. If you’ve been reading my blog for a couple of years, you already know about this wonderful company! They’re family owned, based in Connecticut, and they care so much about their business and their customers. I’m always so honored for the opportunity to work with them! We’ve handpicked a few gorgeous pieces that are sure to make any Mama smile this Mother’s Day.

Mixed in with all of the jewelry eye candy of this post, I thought I’d share four things my Mom has taught me over the years. Enjoy! 🙂

Hoop Heart Earrings $79 // Knot Ring $349 // Tiffany & Co. Stackable Rings $795 // Infinity Ring $229

1. APPRECIATE THE MOMENT. My Mom is always reminding us to enjoy each and every moment for what it is. I’m actually pretty terrible at this. I tend to harp on the things I don’t have or haven’t accomplished yet, always trying to think ahead. She’s the first to help me identify the positive in the current situation …always reminding me to enjoy this moment in time. She says that a lot, “this is just a moment in time”. The reality of the situation is, you may not get to have another moment like the one you’re having right now.

The 14k gold hoop earrings that I’m wearing have small, removable heart charms on them. Hoops have been making a comeback this year and this particular pair is a great option for those who like multi-functional pieces — you could even pop one of the hearts onto a necklace! The gold rings are all 14k as well and are stackable. These may have been my favorite items in the entire post (you may or may not see them a few more times, keep scrolling to find out)! 😉

Sterling Angel Charm $149 // Diamond Cross $595 // Tiffany & Co. XOX Necklace $850  // Mom Bracelet // Love Bracelet $219 // Heartbeat Necklace $199 // Add-Her Pearl Necklace // Chain Link Necklace // Rose Gold Pandora Bracelet // David Yurman Pearl Necklace // Tiffany & Co. Diamond’s By The Yard $385 // Sterling Mom Disc Necklace

2. KEEP CALM. My Mother is the most patient woman I’ve ever known. Not quite sure how I’m her daughter to be honest. Her plate is constantly loaded, but she manages it with ease. She doesn’t freak out when she’s stressed. She really handles it (at least on the outside) very well. When something goes wrong her first instinct isn’t to become dramatic and spin off down some negative black hole (uhh…me), it’s to figure out the best way to deal with the situation at hand, find a solution, and make the most of it. It’s nice having someone help reel you back in when you feel like life is in a tailspin. Thank the lord for Moms; I hope I can be a calming voice and presence for my kids too!

There are so many beautiful pieces above, all ranging in price points. The sterling angel and the white gold cross necklaces are perfect for the more religious Mama (I actually think that angel would make a sweet first communion gift too). The Tiffany & Co. XOX white gold necklace is a classic.

The 14k gold Mom & Love bracelets are adorable, they are so easy to wear (no tricky clasp), plus either makes a suitable gift for Mom! The heartbeat necklace is one of my favorites. That design is really trending this year and is such a nice sentiment. The Add-Her pearl necklace is so genius. A single pearl looks beautiful on it’s own, but you have the option to buy more pearls and have them stranded over the years! I love this idea for a new Mama.

If your Mom is a Pandora lover, this rose gold bracelet is stunning. It comes with three charms, the main one consisting of two hearts that fit perfectly within another. Bonus: it’s sold in a beautiful pink Mother’s Day box!

There are a variety of other necklaces featured above – I love the David Yurman and Tiffany & Co. Estate pieces. The single diamond necklace is to DIE for! Michaels has an incredible collection of Estate jewelry, check it all out here!

Puff Heart Earrings $129 // Puff Heart Necklace $179 // Criss Cross Ring $169

3. BE KIND. I like to think I’m a nice person, but my Mom is on another level. She is so genuinely sweet, supportive, and kind to everyone she meets. She has a way of lifting you up, cheering you on, and making you feel like you’re 10X more capable than you think. She’s never made me feel stupid or dumb or ugly or less-than in any way shape or form; she’s been nothing but encouraging since day one. Mom’s are often our biggest cheerleaders, I hope I can be that for my kids one day too. 🙂

The gold puff heart necklace and earrings are fabulous! I adore them when worn on their own or together. They add the sweetest touch to any outfit and are very reasonably priced. If your Mom is into more simple pieces, this is a great option for her! Above, I’m also wearing the gold Criss Cross ring which is a great everyday piece. I honestly cannot get enough of their gold rings!!

Sterling Paw Print Charm $24 // David Yurman Gold Studs // Pandora Bangle with Dog Bone // Gold Paw Print Necklace

4. LOVE YOUR FAMILY. My Mom always taught us to respect and be there for one another. She says there will always be people who hurt you or let you down, and a family member shouldn’t be one of them. They should be the people that you can always count on. I know everyone has a different family dynamic, but I’m so grateful to have such loving and supportive parents and siblings. I know I can count on them 10000%. Especially as we grow older, I really feel my connection to my siblings. They’re the only people in this world who share my blood – we understand one another in a way no one else ever will. Harvesting a relationship with my brother and sister is really important to me …and I know it’s important to my Mom too. 🙂

Some of us may not be Mama’s to humans, but we’re Mamas to dogs! For many people, their dogs are their babies, and there’s no shame in that! I love my little Lily and think it’s amazing that Michaels wants to celebrate the dog Mama’s too!

The silver Pandora bangle with the dog bone charm is such a sweet piece. If there’s a dog Mama in your life, the bracelet or charm alone is a really thoughtful gift. The sterling paw print necklace is a subtle ode to your pup…and can be engraved! I’m told some people even purchase one for their dogs collar! I paired the necklace with these gorgeous David Yurman studs from Michaels Estate collection and love how everything looked together.

The gold paw print necklace is also a great option and my personal favorite of all the pup jewels! Small, dainty, gold accessories are my go-to and this tiny disc is just my speed. It doesn’t get much cuter!

Let me bless you with photographic evidence of the most awkward phase in my childhood. Bottom right. Hello to the pre-braces years…

    • You guys are the best!! And I agree, we all love her too. 🙂 You’re not crazy, you’re passionate …and you’re the #1 Dog Mama for SURE. You take such incredible care of all those babies.

I was so excited to include Lily in this post, her presence was actually requested LOL! I’m not 100% positive on the shipping and all but I can definitely check for you! You’re the perfect customer. 😉 The silver charm can be engraved, they told me a lot of people actually get them for the dog collars which is so cute. I personally love the gold paw print, I may go back for that one myself. Thanks you so much for reading and always being so supportive! You guys are wonderful, I hope to see you soon! XOXO
