Happy AUGUST Babes. 🙂 Where is this Summer going?! It’s been a while since I put together a favorites post and I’ve been hoarding a few must-share items since April that I want to put on your radar…

ALL-THINGS Laura Mercier. If you read my recent post, you already know how much I’m loving Laura! I have zero complaints, but the standout products are the oil-free primer, Flawless Fusion Foundation, Flawless Fusion concealer, and the Matte Bronzer. If you’re in the market for any of the above, I recommend checking those out!

Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Cucumber, and Green Tea. I was not expecting to love this as much as I do! It’s a quick & easy way to refresh your skin and give your complexion a little bit of hydration during the day. It’s only $7 at Ulta. 🙂

Tarte Shape Tape. I know that I am SO late to this bandwagon, but after finally hopping on…I understand the hype. I really do. The coverage and blend-ability are unparalleled. The only downside is that it’s a bit pricey (although well worth the splurge IMO) and the cap tends to leak? When I screw it shut, product will sometimes seep out the sides. Does this happen to anyone else? Find it here.

Olay Whips Moisturizer. I’m loving my Whips and now that there’s an SPF 25 formula, this has been my go-to moisturizer for Summer. It wears great under makeup! 🙂

Pure Ice “Flirt Alert”. If you’re in the market for a perfect hot pink Summer nail polish, this is it! I actually love the Pure Ice line. They sell them at Walmart for under $2! The colors are gorgeous and the wear time is really impressive. I had a picture of this on my nails, but I got a new phone & lost the image. Grr. But TRUST… it’s stunning!

Chella Beauty Eyelash Curler. Honestly, this was something I never really thought I’d revisit. I posted about this tool in the Spring and kind of forgot about it. One morning I was doing my makeup and my lashes were giving me trouble so I thought I’d try it out again. I’ve been hooked since & use it almost every day! It does take a bit longer than a traditional curler, but it’s so easy to use and helps lift & separate my lashes making mascara application 10X easier. (Try coupon code CHELLA20 at checkout for 20% off…it may still work)

ContigoTHERMALOCK Water Bottle. This one’s a little random but I swear, I cannot live without this thing! I featured this bottle on Instagram back in May and have used it nearly every day since. I love my water ice cold & this is the only bottle that actually keeps your water that chilled. I’m talking 24 hours later & there are still cubes in it. SO good!

Birkenstocks. So everyone has been sporting their Birks this year – they’ve made quite a splash in the blogger world. I had been looking for a casual slip-on sandal and thought I’d test the trend. I didn’t want to commit to a real pair until I knew I liked wearing them, so I found this adorable pink pair at Primark for $9. I love them so much, I don’t think I’d even bother investing. I like my cheapies!

Superga Slip-On Sneakers. I knew I wanted to get a pair of shoes like this for the warmer months. Surprisingly, there are not many styles of this nature on the market. Superga was the only brand that I found & liked. The back of my heels blister very easily in sneakers so these have been a life-saver! They are so cute, look great with jeans, shorts, dresses, and are reasonably priced too. Best shoe purchase of the season for sure!

Rose Quartz Necklace. This necklace is so special to me. After going through a really emotional Winter/Spring, I was looking for any and every little thing that would help me “heal”… I guess you could say? My sister and I were in a small boutique and they were selling Rose Quartz stones that claimed to heal broken hearts, increase self love and acceptance, ease transitions, and open your heart to new love/opportunities. I could not buy that damn stone fast enough! I wanted to carry it on me, but it was a bit large so I keep it in my car. Seeing it everyday brought me so much joy that I decided to buy one on a small necklace so I could wear it all the time. I found this beautiful piece on Etsy & adore it. It’s drawn so many compliments, but it’s much more than an accessory to me. Whether you’ve been dealing with something difficult or not, it’s a gorgeous everyday necklace! I wanted it in solid gold, but couldn’t find one I liked, so I got the 14″-16″ gold filled version & just take it off before I get into any water. 🙂

(My parents got me the small diamond heart for my 30th & I’ve been loving the layered look.)

Brave Enough. While on the “healing” train, I was immersing myself in all kinds of literature. One book in particular that I reached for over & over is Cheryl Strayed’s Brave Enough. This book is full of relevant, thought -provoking, heart tugging quotes that will resonate with anyone and everyone. I’ve read it cover to cover at least 15X, but I’ll still pick it up, flip to a random page, and soak up the message. No matter what you’re feeling, there’s something that will click with ya! 🙂

And that’s it! A bit of a hodge podge round up, but all of the above are so great! I’ve missed sharing favorites posts, I love putting them together & will try to get better about it during the second half of this year! Life has been really good lately & I’m just so happy to be feeling like myself again. 🙂

Thank you guys for reading! Are there any products, clothes, books, or other random items that you’re loving this Summer? LMK below! XOXO

  2. It’s such a great little book to have! Less for reading, more for browsing – definitely recommend though. Ahh I am so glad I’m not the only one…I was like what am I doing wrong?!! It’s kind of frustrating, I wonder if they get many complaints about it? Happy August GF! XO
