When I said I was back, I meant it! 🙂 How often? Not sure yet. For now, I’m just trying to get back into the swing of posting. I want revive my blog with some totally new content, but bring back some of my favorite old posts as well. One of them being… my WIWTW series.
In post-covid life, I’ve found myself in a bit of wardrobe rut. I’ve never had more fun getting dressed then when I pushed myself to style + document my OOTD for What I Wore This Week posts. So, here we are! Bringing it back. For one week? Two weeks? Indefinitely? I don’t know, we’ll see how it goes!
I think a lot of women my age face a style crisis. The current trends don’t necessarily cater to our lifestyles or taste; clothes are either way too big, way too small, and finding the right go-to pieces seems more challenging than ever. I couldn’t even describe my style these days… I enjoy wearing so many different things! I live a pretty normal life, I work from home most days, I strive to look somewhat put together, I LOVE any opportunity to dress up, and I definitely value comfort. Throw all of that together and here’s what I got…
Take a peek at my outfits from last week – I tried to link exact or similar pieces.
MONDAY 7/18/2022: Popped into the office on Monday morning. Top + bottom are both from express. Waves are from overnight french braids. 🙂
TUESDAY 7/19/2022: Spent the day working at home, packing some orders running a few errands, and trying not to melt in the 90 degree temps!

WEDNESDAY 7/20/2022 – It was my Mom’s birthday so I spent the day shopping with her! I loved this pink number, but changed into the cutest dress for dinner later on + forgot to snap a pic! I will 1000% be wearing it again though.

THURSDAY 7/21/2022: Off to the office in the AM. Temps were in the 90’s again! Snagged these shorts at Marshalls last week + I love them! This T-shirt was from a 2019 Pretty Little Thing order. (PS: we got home pretty late Wednesday and I didn’t have energy to clean up this mess of a room… sorry!)

FRIDAY 7/22/2022: Didn’t snap an outfit pic until I got home later on, but I was editing some footage during the day, working on Sweet Almond stuff, then made a pitstop at my parents to jump in the pool. Hence, the extremely low key attire. This dress is so comfy + forgiving though!

SATURDAY 7/23/2022: The heat wave continues! I went to the New Canaan sidewalk sales in the morning, ran some errands in the afternoon, and grabbed pizza later on with Dan.
SUNDAY 7/24/2022: Sunday was our one year wedding anniversary and I had no idea what I was going to wear to dinner. I was thumbing through my closet and realized that I still had the dress I wore on our first date back in 2018! It seemed like the perfect outfit for the full circle evening. 🙂

I had so much fun shopping my closet this past week! I’m feeling a little rusty in the OOTD department, but I definitely pulled out some items I hadn’t worn in a while. I’m starting to get excited about my wardrobe again… and even more excited about the new items I plan to add to it!
I hope you enjoyed this post. Maybe it’ll inspire you to revisit some of your old pieces and style them in new ways! Let me know below or via IG if you think I should keep up with this series! 🙂
XOXO
