I’m not sure where you live, but in the Northeast, it has been very hot and humid! We’ve been experiencing a bit of a heat wave and while that’s to be expected during the Summer months, it continues to pose a problem when it comes to styling hair. Lucky for us, there are some great products out there that help combat frizz and lock down your locks! Today, I wanted to share three of my personal favorites…
ColorWow Dream Coat. I was introduced to this product soon after it launched in 2017 and ever since, it has been a staple in my styling routine – especially during the Summer! This this anti-frizz spray is heat-activated and designed to last up to three washes. After washing, mist it onto your hair, style as normal, and enjoy soft, silky frizz-free hair. For me, it’s one of the only products that does as it promises and truly works. My hair looks its absolute best when I use this! You can find it in Sephora, Ulta, and of course, on Amazon!
Hair Wax Stick. Are you tired of hearing about this yet? Sorry, not sorry because I’m going to keep singing it’s praises! This is a newer favorite for me, but it’s been worth every single penny (and spoiler: it’s under $5)! I’ve been using this on my 2-3 day old hair that I tend to slick back into a bun. It works wonders by instantly smoothing out any frizz or fly aways for a sleek and effortless look. There are a ton of similar items on Amazon, but I was able to order mine for $3.99.
Living Proof Instant De-Frizzer. I’ll be honest, I didn’t have the highest hopes for this product when I first got it. It seemed too good to be true. I was convinced my hair would become oily or greasy the second it hit, but to my surprise, it didn’t. It in fact, it did the exact opposite! This dry conditioning spray is designed to instantly tame up to 92% of frizz while leaving hair softer, smoother, and shinier. I use it after I finish blowdrying by lightly misting across my hair and gently brushing it through. Just be careful not to overdo it – a little bit goes a long way!
I can not rave about these three products enough. I love to use the Dream Coat and the Instant De-Frizzer together when styling …and the wax stick is my go-to between washes! We all have very different hair, but I know that these products have become favorites for many women. If you think your hair may benefit from any of them, I’d recommend giving them a try. You can find travel sizes of both the ColorWow and Living Proof, so no need to commit to the full size bottles (or price tags) until you’re sold!
