Was this the longest month of your life or just me? I’m not terribly mad about it, they all seem to fly these days and I’m certainly not trying to rush time. I just wonder why the Summer months never seem to drag on. If only! Anyways, I’m rounding up some of my favorite things from January today (make your way over to YouTube for all of the January beauty faves). But I’m hoping to bring back these monthly posts to highlight the things that made my life easier and better in recent weeks.

Let’s get into them! ◡̈

Olive & June Press Ons (Iridescent Pink). Surprise, I happily wear press ons now. I can’t believe it either! I shared a “January Beauty Faves” video on YouTube, but I HAD to include these on the blog. I wore this set for Christmas and they lasted perfectly into the New Year! I’ve accepted the fact that I don’t have the time to maintain my natural nails in this season of life; but that doesn’t mean I have to neglect them completely. Press ons are a great alternative and Olive & June makes some damn good ones (you can find O&J in Target and Walmart now, but if you order on their site, you can still use my code AmandaB20)! I find the fit really compatible with my nail shape/bed so they’ve been my go-to, but I recently got a set from Static Nails and Glamnetic that I plan to review soon!

Chicken Noodle Soup. Am I obsessed with this? Yes, I think I am obsessed with this. My family OD’d on this chicken noodle soup this month and I’m not apologizing for it. I blogged the recipe a few weeks ago and have been making a batch almost weekly! It is SO delicious and I really think it helped keep any sickness at bay in our house.

Chelsea Boots. I have been on the hunt for the perfect pair of everyday winter boots – something versatile! I was debating a brown, black, or tan pair and when I saw these, I fell in love! They’re super comfy, easy to slide on/off off, and are my new go-to winter shoe! The best part is that they were basically free. I did some Christmas shopping at Kohls and received a nice little chunk of Kohls cash. The boots were significantly marked down and with the cash, I didn’t have to pay anything out of pocket. So they were basically free …right?! Yay girl math!

Glass Iced Coffee Cups. This set of 2 glasses were a Christmas gift from my Mom. I love making iced coffees at home and these are the perfect vessel for them! They feel so fancy and I swear the coffee tastes better. You can find these on Amazon – they’d make the perfect gift for your coffee-loving friends too. PS: excuse my little guy trying to open the oven!

2025 Planner. Picking up a new planner is always a fun affair for me. I’ve had so many different kinds over the years. The size, print, pattern, material… it’s always a surprise what I end up with. This year, I stumbled upon this one at Target and loved it. The print felt very tranquil and relaxing – definitely the vibe I’m trying to cultivate this year. Plus, it was designed by Marie Kondo so there are a lot of organizational tips/aspects included!

Baby Pull Sled. Our little guy is big enough to enjoy the snow this year and it’s been so fun watching him try new things! A couple of friends got him this sled for his birthday so after we had our first decent snowfall of the season, we couldn’t wait to bring him outside. It’s very easy to pull and there’s a small seat belt which is so necessary to keep him from falling out or sliding around. I also love that it’s pretty small and easy to store. So glad we have this!

Chopper. This is not necessarily a new favorite, but it’s something I haven’t properly shared on the blog yet and with all the soup I’ve been making, it’s been getting a lot of use! These choppers have been so popular over the last couple of years and I’m still wondering what took me so long to finally order one. I can confirm, it is worth the hype! I promise you, this is a kitchen gadget that will make your life so much easier.

Retail 101. This one is for my Connecticut readers! Maybe I have been living under a rock (a rock named motherhood), but this discount warehouse in Shelton, CT is (over)stocked with deeply discounted name brand clothing and furniture. They don’t have much of a website, but you can do a deeper dive on TikTok/Instagram! Let me just tell you – I came home with a ton of Good American, Free People, and Anthropology finds for a STEAL. I was most excited for all of the new denim I found. I can’t wait to go back!

That’s pretty much all I have for January! Thank you to my little guy for napping long enough so I could finish this post. Reminder: there is a round up of January Beauty faves on my YouTube channel if you want to check those out – there were some really fab products this month!

Thoughts on favorite posts: yay/nay? I always enjoy putting them together and looking back on them. They really memorialize different phases in life! I’m going to do my best to get 12 up this year and will hopefully get into a good reading groove so I can include books again as well! ◡̈

Hope you all have a great weekend! We’re actually heading up to Vermont and I can’t wait!

XOXO
