I am so excited – for a few reasons! Last year, my parents bought me this wonderful Canon camera, and for a while it worked just perfectly! One day it began giving me strange error messages & stopped shooting. Getting it fixed has been on my eternal to-do list for months &this past weekend I finally decided to ship it out to be repaired. I got all of the equipment together to bring to the post office and to my surprise, while test shooting – it worked! So, for now, my baby is back in action 🙂
With it’s miraculous recovery came another bit of exciting news … on my camera were quite a few photos from the past year! I wanted to share some of them here.
I’m so glad that I was able to get all of my pictures, especially the dozens on dozens from our vacation to the Cayman Islands! I can’t wait to print them.
I also cannot wait to start using my camera for this little blog of mine 🙂
The past week has been a busy one! With Christmas, New Years, and everything in between, it’s been a whirlwind. 2013 was an amazing year & I have only the highest expectations for the next three hundred and sixty five days! I’m glad I’ve semi-kept up with my blog! Today is technically it’s 2 year anniversary. I started this little side-project as a 2012 New Years resolution. Since then, it’s become more of a journal/scrap book for myself – and for friends and family to see what I’ve been up to. I prefer posting updates and pictures here as opposed to Facebook – I hope to continue building my little baby in the new year:)
To wrap up 2013, I wanted to share some pictures from the holidays! 🙂
Wishing everyone a happy, healthy, prosperous, exciting, rewarding, challenging & fulfilling new year!
One of my friends from college, Brianna, got married last weekend! We met while we were both rushing the same sorority in 2007. She is one of the funniest, kindest, most entertaining girls I know, she’s one of the very few people that can just make me laugh hysterically.
I’m so glad that we’ve kept in touch & I’m so happy she invited us to spend her wedding day with her! I wanted to share some of the photo’s I snapped from her special day!
But first a few throwbacks:
I have no photos from her ceremony, because I kind of feel strange using a phone/camera in church. I feel like the bride wants to see smiling faces as she’s walking down the aisle, not cameras (but you should know – the ceremony was gorgeous & very sweet).
So, we begin photos at the cocktail hour:
So, I didn’t catch the bouquet, the girl right in front of me did! …But guess who caught the garter!?
The wedding was so much fun. I’m really glad that I was able to be there to celebrate with Brianna and all of her friends and family! Everything was just perfect.
Sending a huge congrats to Brie & Colin (who are currently in Hawaii!!!) Wishing them a lifetime of love & happiness!
I’ve posted about my superstar of a boyfriend, the talented Michael Minelli a fewtimesbefore, and today I’m doing so again!
He just covered ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’ & filmed a fun little video last Monday! I popped in at the shoot (after RHOBH, obviously) to bring the boys some cookies. I ended up staying the whole time to help them out with some shots, but oh my gosh was it freezing!! It makes me laugh how calm & relaxed they always look in their final videos when all I can think about is how cold/hot/tired/hungry/etc they were at the time.
I wanted to share some pictures I took that night! Unfortunately, I was shivering so much that they ended up being a bit blurry, luckily, they still look handsome as ever 🙂
And here is a random clip, featuring yours truly, awkwardly shivering a few seconds in lol:
Now that you’ve seen some fun behind the scenes pics, here is the final product! It’s beautiful, it’s festive, it’s been replaying in my car, phone, at my desk & will continue to do so this holiday season!
If you like it, share it – and be sure to subscribe to Mike’s YouTube channel, follow him on Twitter & “like” his page on Facebook!
My family is incredible. Honestly, like beyond amazing. Anytime I get to spend with them is so special. They’re funny, warm, inviting, and the most generous, loving people you’d ever meet. Each one of them!
We get together more than most, and love to celebrate everything. Recently, my Aunt Noel turned 60, and all of my Aunts & Mom threw her a surprise luncheon with all of the ladies in her life! It was such a perfect afternoon & she was so, so happy to see all of the friends and family that came out just for her.
We all met at Harbor Lights in Norwalk. It was a really cute restaurant, right on the water.
The sun was shining – even two beautiful swans showed up for the occasion!
My Aunts put a lot of effort into making everything just right, I snapped some of the table details:
We were all mingling & catching up when we got word that she had arrived! We grabbed our cameras and stood there as she walked in with her family. She was SO surprised, it was the cutest thing ever. Obviously, tears were involved 🙂
So surprised! Hugs for everyone 🙂
After some teary hellos, we all settled in and enjoyed some tasty apps!
It was so sunny, I had to snap a pic of my celebrity Mama, wearing her Tom Ford’s at the table.
Forgot to snap a pic of actual lunch! Whoops!
Always have to squeeze in time for group photos…
It was such a special afternoon & I’m so glad I was able to make it! In the words of Teresa Giudice, I love, love, love this family 🙂
