The best part of any awards show is the beautiful gowns that walk down the red carpet! Here are my top 3 favorites from last nights SAG Awards.
Lea Michele in Versace:
Stacy Keibler in Marchesa:
Naya Rivera in Naeem Khan:
Now, don’t pin me for a hater, but am I the only one who didn’t like Ashlee Simpsons get-up? I think people were raving so much because for once she didn’t look like she just rolled out of bed and threw on an outfit that came out of her boyfriends hamper.
Oh how I wish I were one of those girls who was perfectly content with carrying a small handbag consisting of my wallet, keys and cell phone. But I’m not, I am the girl who get’s anxiety when I have to choose which precious items to bring in a small clutch on a night out.
I don’t understand how a woman can feel comfortable leaving the house without certain “just in case” items. While organizing my purse last week, I decided to lay everything out and try to downsize. Needless to say, I wasn’t terribly successful.
After de-cluttering I was left with the following:
Tire pressure checker?
Nail polish remover pads
4 lip glosses
1 lip stick
A computer/phone screen cleaner
A small sewing kit
In the black bag are bobby pins, a small lint roller and other misc. items. Also, not photographed are my keys, cell and on-the-go makeup bag*
Normally, carrying this many items in one bag would be a messy nightmare, but lucky for me, I have a FABULOUS as seen on TV product that is actually super practical and 100% effective. The Kangaroo Keeper!
It’s so perfect for any purse, particularly a bag with no structure.
Do you carry any of the same things as me? Or are you one of the lucky-to-be-low maintenance ladies?
Many girls have something that when they forget to put on they feel “naked-without”. My Mom always said it was her earrings, some have to be wearing a necklace…me? I have a single gold band ring that I wear on my right index finger. I couldn’t tell you where I got it, I honestly don’t even like it- but I’ve have had it on that finger since 2002 or so, and I never, never, never take it off, no matter where I’m going.
It’s been on for so long that I now have a permanent indent/tan line on my index finger.
I feel so weird when this ring is removed for even a second. I literally feel naked without it!
Is there a piece of jewlery that you wear every single day?
I absolutely LOVE candles, I burn them at home, at work, everywhere! I was so intrigued, because these aren’t your average candles- each one actually has a ring inside… a ring that ranges in price from $10-$5,000! Once the candle burns down, you retrieve your jewels.
How fun is this?! It’s like a girly Cracker Jack box with a better prize, and less calories!
Diamond Candles carry nearly every scent, and each one is only $24.95. I cannot wait to order mine!
To learn more about their company and scope out some of the other gems that have been found check out their Facebook page.
Have you or anyone you know bought a Diamond Candle? Let me know what kind of ring you found! 🙂
I made it through another week of healthiness! So of course I cheated a bit this weekend; luckily, not nearly AS bad as last.
We made pizza Friday night, I created a caramelized onion pizza and Mike made hamburgER (he says “hamburg” but that word bugs me out…not sure why, but I don’t like it lol). Saturday I had a Reeses cup and bowl of home made strawberry shortcake around noon while I was busy being lazy. Come late night I was starving, and had been craving McDonalds french fries all week, so I caved- I swear it may have been the best McDonalds I had ever eaten.
Sunday I spent on the couch witnessing this madness, and was pretty good about not over-indulging in the huge tray of yummy chipolte flavored nachos that were on the table. I had a slice of strawberry ice cream cake and a chocolate, peanut butter, frosted flake treat that I had made earlier that day!
Again, not the best choices, but I feel like I earn my right to a little junk after five days of fruits, veggies, and multi-grain. The good thing is, come Monday morning, I am SO ready to get back into my health spree 🙂
