Woohoo, I made it to Blogmas day 2, I think that’s a good sign of things to come 🙂
Alright, first things first! MY BEST FRIEND ERIN GOT ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!! Erin & I have been friends since…forever.
One of my favorite pictures of her & I in kindergarten 🙂
We always talked about the day we’d get married. Fun fact – we both dressed up as brides for Halloween in Kindergarten (I wish I were home to dig up the pictures) and the day is finally here! Well, for her at least haha. I couldn’t be more excited or happier for her. I can already tell that 2015 is going to be a great year 🙂
She really has met her perfect match. …AND THAT RING! Gorgeous. I love you Erin!! XOXO
Such exciting news, I’m thrilled for my BFF!
Thanksgiving weekend was amazing for so many reasons. Obviously the engagement(!!), and that I got to spend time with family & friends, I had a few days off to relax, and I did quite a bit of holiday decorating! I thought some festive photos would be perfectly appropriate for Blogmas Day 2 🙂
Post Black Friday shopping at Target. I need this ornament in my life! #ManiAddictMy Mom and I put up our Dickens village – one of my favorite things about the Christmas season 🙂Had to snap a picture of it all lit up!Mom, sister, and I putting up our fake tree. We’ve been fake tree people for a few years now & I have to say, I’m a HUGE fan. No mess, easy up, easy down, no trying to keep it alive. Miss the smell? Pine tree candles + scent sticks = basically the real thing! (We were also all rocking bold lips the whole weekend, I loved this red!)I interrupt this decoration update to bring you the cutest picture of Mike with his favorite girl 😉Relaxing in our cozy family room after it had been completely Christmafyed! We were all watching National Lampoons Christmas Vacation 🙂 (Which I’m currently watching right now…for the third time..since Saturday. I LOVE Clark & Ellen)And why not some more holiday cuteness?! We tried to take a festive picture of Lily for our holiday card. Of course, she hated it lolAfter spending the weekend decorating at my parents, I came home to decorate our condo! I present, the Welly tree 🙂…I mayyyyy have put up 2 trees. We had an extra, so I figured why not!Gahhh I love our little place this time of year!! I told Mike to hide, he didn’t do very well – can you spot his shadow? lolAll that decorating required some sweets. Wrapped up the weekend with some homemade PB/Chocolate chip cookies 🙂
Well there you have it, welcome to my Blogmas atmosphere! What is it about Christmas decorations, movies, smells, colors, etc. that makes everything feel so cozy, uplifting, and inspiring? It’s such a magical time of year!
I’m really looking forward to this month 🙂 I hope it doesn’t fly by too quickly!
Have you put up your holiday decorations yet?
Serious Q – Do you live in a small apartment or condo & have more than one tree!? (Insert hands over eyes / kind of embarrassed / monkey emoji)
XOXO

Thanksgiving Eve is the biggest bar night of the year, and in my small hometown everyone finds themselves at the local bar where it’s basically one big high school reunion. I’ve been a few times but it’s the more or less same experience every year…this year I did something a little different.
My Uncle Don (my godfather), is somewhat of a local legend at Bobby Valentines in Stamford, CT – years ago he used to run an awesome karaoke show every week. This year Bobby asked if he would be interested in hosting their Thanksgiving Eve karaoke, and he agreed. My cousins, aunts, uncles, brother, parents and best friend all headed out to Stamford Wednesday night for some karaoke fun! —>
Uncle Don, me, and my best friend Erin 🙂My little bro & IUncle Don beltin! My Mama & IMy cousins girlfriend did this phenomenal Adele rendition- she was so good, the girl can seriously sing!!!The boys did awesome!..they really got into it LOLI love this girl!!A little in-seat dancing? Why not 😉Me & my best <3
One woman got up to sing that working at the car wash song & asked Erin, my Mom and I to be her backup dancers – needless to say, we got up & did a great job washing the cars – incriminating video is floating around somewhere LOL!
Afterwards I went home to spend some girl time with my under 21 sister who never fails to whip out her camera phone …
When you come home late at night, take down your hair & your little sister takes awkward photos of you making a duck face LOL
Regardless, I had SO much fun on Thanksgiving Eve, the most fun I’ve had in a while. When you combine family, friends, a few yummy drinks & some good, clean fun – there’s really nothing better. 🙂
