Blogmas 2104 – Day 15: Just Another Manic Monday :)

Happy Blogmas Day 15!

This day went by way too quickly! WARNING: this post is super random.

Today was a whirlwind of work, checking out the construction site of our new office building, Lowe’s to pick out bathroom tiles, Christmas shopping, grocery shopping, unpacking, tomorrow lunch making… & now blogging.

Saw these prints at TJ Maxx tonight - how cute?! I want them all :)
I saw these white & gold prints at TJ Maxx tonight – how cute?! I want them all 🙂

Our microwave randomly broke, so in an effort to avoid having to do dishes tonight, here’s dinner lol…

My roomie & I are currently watching The Great Christmas Light Fight on abc!

Fun story: growing up, my family would always go to this one house in Norwalk, CT that had an insane Christmas lights display. We’d usually stop by right after church on Christmas Eve before meeting up with our extended family for our annual Christmas Eve dinner held at my Dad’s Aunt & Uncles home. Point of story – the amazing house in Norwalk is featured on the show this year! They’ve been doing their lights display for 25 years & decided to continue for a 26th because they were asked to be on the show! We thought that they were on tonight, but it looks like their episode airs next Monday!

Either way, it’s a pretty wild show! …And we love all things Christmas-y around here, so we’re still tuning in! 🙂

I hope everyone had a great Monday! I definitely felt the blogmas pressure today! I’m glad I was able to squeeze in a quick Day 15 post 🙂

Back to the show, then getting ready to call it a night. Have a good one!

Thanksgiving EVE 2012

Thanksgiving Eve is the biggest bar night of the year, and in my small hometown everyone finds themselves at the local bar where it’s basically one big high school reunion. I’ve been a few times but it’s the more or less same experience every year…this year I did something a little different.

My Uncle Don (my godfather), is somewhat of a local legend at Bobby Valentines in Stamford, CT – years ago he used to run an awesome karaoke show every week. This year Bobby asked if he would be interested in hosting their Thanksgiving Eve karaoke, and he agreed. My cousins, aunts, uncles, brother, parents and best friend all headed out to Stamford Wednesday night for some karaoke fun! —>

My cousins girlfriend did this phenomenal Adele rendition- she was so good, the girl can seriously sing!!!
The boys did awesome!
..they really got into it LOL
I love this girl!!
A little in-seat dancing? Why not 😉
Me & my best <3

One woman got up to sing that working at the car wash song & asked Erin, my Mom and I to be her backup dancers –  needless to say, we got up & did a great job washing the cars – incriminating video is floating around somewhere LOL!

Afterwards I went home to spend some girl time with my under 21 sister who never fails to whip out her camera phone …

When you come home late at night, take down your hair & your little sister takes awkward photos of you making a duck face LOL

Regardless, I had SO much fun on Thanksgiving Eve, the most fun I’ve had in a while. When you combine family, friends, a few yummy drinks & some good, clean fun – there’s really nothing better. 🙂

What did you all do on Thanksgiving Eve?

Behind the Scenes of the “I’m On” Music Video

If you follow me on Twitter or have read some of my previous blog posts, you may have noticed me talk about my boyfriend, Michael Minelli here and there. For those who don’t know, he is an aspiring musician!

Mike & I at one of his shows 🙂

He has quite the resume under his belt, he’s opened for some huge bands and artists, and was recently featured on PerezHilton for his cover of Katy Perry’s “Part of Me“.

Love that Perez finds my man seksiiii 😉

He has accomplished so much, and continues to work very, very hard…he inspires me everyday!

Now let it be known… he and I are completely different. Literally opposites. He is an R & B, Rap, & Hip-hop die hard, and I pretend that my life is narrated by country songs (it’s pretty easy to figure the rest out)… but in the strangest way, we’re exactly the same. We have the same morals, goals, and dreams, we try be one anothers backbone, and it helps to keep us on the same page. 🙂

I like to be as supportive as possible, and take advantage of opportunities to be present at his shows, shoots, and everything in between. Recently he was featured on a track with some talented CT artists- Ricky Tan, Jitta on the Track, Jigz the Flyer, and Joey Franchize. I decided to tag along to the video shoot, and thought it’d be fun to make a post about it. So I spent the day taking pictures, tweeting, and of course, being a cheerleader…it was a fun day! Check out the pictures and final video below!

They shot everything at a local skate park.
Ricky Tan shooting his scene.
All of the guys getting down! The man in the middle with the huge beard worked at the park and made a few cameos! 😉
Mike had some of his boys come out to be in his shots- Ron, Mike, Shelly, and Austin .
What a fashion statement huh? I love Shelly, and the fact that his sneakers have tails LOL
Mike shooting his verse.

All of the guys again. I'm a new Joey Franchize (in the dolphin sweatshirt) fan! He's a DJ on Hot 93.7 and such a nice guy! 🙂
Me and my man at the end of the shoot 🙂

We had a fun day, all of these guys are so talented! I became a huge fan of this song after hearing it on repeat for hours during the shoot ;)!  The video came out really great…check it out below and make sure you watch till the end to see Mike’s verse! 😉
