It has been a while since I shared a favorites post; but to be fair… sometimes it takes a while to develop new favorites! Over the last few months, there have been quite a few things I’ve grown to love and I’m looking forward to sharing them with you today.(more…)
Does anyone have one lip product that they swear by & wear every single day? Because I’m dying to meet you! At the bottom of my purse, you’ll usually find a collection of lipsticks, balms, and glosses; I have a hard time committing to one product. Although just because I carry many options around, doesn’t mean that each is not equally loved. While cleaning my purse this week, I decided to round up a few of the lip products I’ve been addicted to this Spring!
Hello, December! I honestly cannot believe you’re here already. How in the world has an entire year gone by already?! It’s actually unbelievable, time flies. I am so glad that I’ve kept up with these monthly favorites posts. They are so fun to put together and I love sharing them with you!
Hey Girls (and guys)! I am actually slightly shocked that it’s already MARCH…but I can’t complain, Spring is only 20 days away!! I’m sticking to my word and I’m back to share my February Favorites with you!
I lucked out with certain physical qualities, but one that I was totally jipped on were my lips! I have super small lips, so I am always up for trying everything and anything to make them look bigger.
I’ve tried so many plumpers, serums, and tricks- everything from DuWop Lip Venom to staining my lips with red jello powder and hot sauce, to brushing them with a tooth brush to biting them until they swell…FYI- none of these were very effective.
So, I usually resort to makeup! Here is my little trick for making my lips look fuller…
Start with a lip liner, lip stick, chap stick and lip gloss– (ANY brands will work fine, just be sure that the colors are compatible. Ex- don’t use a burgundy lip liner with a hot pink lip stick):
I used an NYC lip liner pencil 954A, Maybelline lip stick Roseberry A97, Blistex Deep Renewal chap stick and NARS Turkish Delight gloss. –>
Here are my nakey lips 😉
Step 1: Apply your liner around perimeter of lips. I extend the line a bit above the actual lip to make them appear larger.
Step 2: Fill in lips with liner pencil and dab with lip stick.
Step 3: Apply chap stick over color. (I find that chap stick helps to lock the color in and make it last longer)
Step 4: Dab a bit of gloss in the center of your top and bottom lip only (this will help the lips appear larger).
Step 5: Rub the dabs of lip gloss together, and voila!
Can you a tell a difference?
I’ll definitely be getting some collagen injections one of these days, but for now this works just fine. What are your favorite lip plumping tricks? I’d love to hear them!
