Today, I’m bringing you a post that is a little different!
I usually wear gold jewelry, but while putting together some outfits over the weekend, I realized that for a couple of looks, silver accessories would be best. After pulling out a few of my favorite pieces, I noticed they were looking pretty rough. So, being the DIY enthusiast that I am, I figured I’d try to make my own silver jewelry cleaner. The results…impressive!
When it comes to cravings, I’m usually drawn to junk – sweets & salt. It’s very rare that I crave a salad…let alone one made of kale. However, THIS salad is so beyond delicious that the cravings are totally warranted.
It’s really easy to make, and unlike most, it will last in the fridge for a few days without getting too soggy – honestly, the longer it sits, the better it tastes.
I posted the original recipe with my modifications/preferences below 🙂
Bag of chopped kale
1/2 cup olive oil (I prefer a little less than this)
3 cloves of mashed garlic (About 2 tbsp. of minced)
1/4 cup lemon juice (I squeeze 1 whole lemon)
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
Crushed red pepper to taste
Salt & pepper to taste
Put everything in a large bowl, cover, & shake it all up!
Seriously, the tastiest salad ever. The fact that even my super picky boyfriend requests it should be enough to convince you to give it a try!
Are you a kale fan? How do you like to prepare it?
I needed to whip up a quick dinner the other night, but wanted something simple and fairly healthy. I pulled ingredients from my fridge and pantry and made a primavera-esque dish that was actually really good!
I gathered as many veggies as I could find- broccoli, carrots, onions, and mushrooms.
I sliced my onion and immediately put it into the frying pan with some olive oil to caramelize. After the onion slices started loosing their shape I added the rest of the veggies, a tad more olive oil and some salt and pepper to season.
While the vegetables were on the stove, I cooked and drain some wheat spaghetti in a separate pot…
Once the veggies were done, I mixed them into the pasta and added a bit more olive oil to substitute as a sauce.
The dish was actually pretty filling and I had plenty of leftovers to bring for lunch the next day.
I love to cook, but not so much on weeknights. I’m always looking for simple and healthy dinner recipes- please feel free share your favorites below!
