So I did something completely random & impulsive last week…
Sigh.
I have to be honest, I don’t really know why. Typically, I’m not much of a hair girl, my nails are much more my thing, but I had been reading so many amazing reviews of Milania Haircare, and I happen to adore this sassy little troll…
…anyways, I thought, “why not” – so I ordered the three-piece set.
I placed the order on a Thursday & came home that Monday to see the box waiting for me.
A+ for fast shipping!!I could’t help but chuckle at the sparkly Teresa Giudice on the box lol…No really, she sparkles. The set comes with the Keratin Heat Protector, the Total Vitamin Leave-In Treatment & the Argan Oil Infusion Serum
So of course, I wanted to try everything right away! I took a shower before bed and shampooed/conditioned as normal…
Step 1: I added a generous amount of the Total Vitamin Leave-In treatment all throughout my damp hair & clipped it up for bed.Great pics, I know. I was too lazy to photograph this properly lol. Can I just tell you how GOOD this stuff smells? I’m not even kidding, it has that yummy salon-quality product smell!Seriously though, a tweet-worthy, good smell!Step 2: Good morning! Pump some of the Keratin Heat Protector and work into towel dried hair…My hair is pretty dry when I take it down in the morning, so no extra drying was necessary
I worked the heat protector in from tips to scalp & then blow dried…
Post-blow dry! (I need to get my color done ASAP – I swear it doesn’t look that yellow-y lol!)Time to straighten…Step 3: Argan Oil Infusion Serum.I usually don’t put many products in my hair as it gets greasy very easily, but the small bit of oil didn’t bother me much.Another shot before I styled it.
All in all – I was impressed. This was definitely affordable, smells really good, and seems to work just as well as any other products I’ve tried. My hair held up through the day which is huge – the summer heat didn’t cause it to frizz as much as it normally does…
Home after a long day! I’d say that’s pretty darn straight & shiny for mid-Summer!
I must say, way to go Tre!!
Next up, I need to get my hands on a bottle of Fabellini LOL.
Have you tried any of the Milania Haircare products? Let me know what you think!
After about a 3 week hiatus, I am back on my gel manicures! I was missing my long lasting, shiny, strong manicures. After posting about the new Gelish Candy Land Collection I was dying to pick up their new yellow shade “Don’t Be Such a Sourpuss”.
They were nearly out! They had one of each color, except for "You're So Sweet, You're Giving Me a Toothache" which luckily, I already had!
I was so excited that there was one left…it appeared to be a pastel-yellow, but when I took a closer look, it was much more Frenchs Mustard-ish…with a hint of shimmer. I was so bummed, I didn’t end up getting it 🙁
I don't think I'd care to look at this color on my nails for 2 weeks lol
This Sallys had a poor selection of Gelish colors in general, so I didn’t end up buying anything new. I got home and decided to work with colors I already had.
I chose to work with Gelish Starburst and Rendezvous.
I used Rendezvous, a deep magenta/pink on all of my fingers except for my thumb, and ring finger…which were painted with Starburst.
I'm not sure that I love these colors together, but it was something different! (Rendezvous isn't as red as this picture would suggest)Day 5: Still chip free and shiny 🙂 (Oh I've missed manis that last longer than 2 days!) This shows a more realistic shade of "Rendezvous"
UPDATE: (I like to note the longevity of my gel manicures) I tweeted a picture of my manicure on day 11…it was still holding up, but I am really ready for a change.
