I am coming off of a month (or so)-long food bender. I don’t know how or why, but I’ve been a total savage. I haven’t made an actual grocery store run in weeks and I’ve spent far too much time going through drive-thru’s and ordering take out. I had a little “get yourself together” moment over the weekend and have spent the last couple of days working to get myself back into a good, healthy zone!

Get back to the healthy carts!
Time to start eating the rainbow (and Yasso bars 😉 ) again.

I will be the first to admit that I don’t necessarily enjoy eating healthy – I mean I can do it. And I will. But I have a serious junk food problem that I struggle to keep at bay. For me, I must take baby steps – cold turkey is usually not very effective. I will never eliminate any food from my life, but I will reduce the frequency in which I’ll eat it. When I’m trying to get back into a good zone, I have to take it day by day, bite by bite. Before choosing when and what to eat, I literally ask myself “am I really hungry?” and “what is the smartest choice I can make right now?” If I give myself the opportunity to think before I eat, I find I make better decisions. Not always the BEST, but better. (Idk why, but I was very passionate about bolding in this paragraph.)

So, that’s where I am right now! While I need to get back into some form of exercise routine, smarter food choices is where I’ve decided to start!

I’ve been hunting for some healthy new recipes to get me excited and I found 10 yummy ones that I want to try! If you’re currently on a health kick too, take a look, I think you’ll enjoy them! –>
