We’ve almost made our way out of February which means in about 2 short months we (hopefully) will be enjoying some warmer temps + a little more sunshine!

We had a beautiful 60 degree day last week and I was able to wear this cute outfit from Ragstock.com! I am all about casual comfort, so I ordered a long sleeve hoodie dress, a vintage Levi’s denim jacket, and a pair of matte-black oversized sunnies which paired perfectly with my tan OTK boots. Styling new outfits (with new or old clothes!) is definitely a great way to make the winter days a little more fun + exciting.

If you’re looking to add some new pieces to your wardrobe, be sure to check Ragstock out! They’re based in Minneapolis, MN and have been in business since 1953. They are the largest online seller of both new and vintage clothes, and have nearly 40 stores across the Midwest + Austin, TX.

Since I live in Connecticut, I’ve only been able to shop their online store, but I love the variety… they have a little bit of everything! I love even more that it’s all so reasonably priced. You can find a ton of brand new pieces, and some one-of-a-kind, pre-loved, vintage items (like my jacket) as well!

In addition to keeping my outfits interesting, I’ve been keeping myself entertained in a few other ways! And I have to say, this winter hasn’t been too terrible at all. I wanted to share 7 things you can do to make the most of the season too!

1- Start watching a new TV show. There’s no better time of year to get into a new show! I previously mentioned that I’m watching Game of Thrones and I am beyond hooked! We just began season 6 over the weekend + it’s getting so good! There are a couple of other shows on my radar, but let me know in the comments if you have a must-watch to share!

2 – Take a class. I always loved taking classes in the Winter. Over the years I’ve tried out hand lettering, cooking, and this year I took an eBay class with my Dad. He wanted to sign up & I’ve never really used eBay so I figured it’d be a good time to learn the ins + outs and start selling some thangs! Which leads me to number 3…

3 – Clean out your space. Winter is a great time to organize. Whether you’re jumping on the Kondo-bandwagon or just tidying up, take advantage of a chilly snowed-in Saturday to refresh a space in your home. Organizing a drawer, closet, entire room, the attic, garage, or even just the fridge will make you feel productive – plus you may be able to sell some old things + make a little extra $$!

4 – Plan a trip! Depending on your budget you may be able to swing a warm getaway, but a local stay-cation or quick weekend road trip can be just as exciting. Exploring a new place + enjoying a change in scenery is refreshing. Plus it’ll give you something to look forward to!

5 – Try a new recipe. How many pins do you have on your Pinterest food boards that you’ve never gotten around to making? Start whipping them up! Set a reasonable goal, whether it be making one new dinner recipe per week or trying new app or dessert for an upcoming gathering, put those pins to good use!

6 – Pick up a new book. Set aside 30 minutes in the evening, throw on your comfiest clothes, light a candle, brew a cup of coffee or cocoa, snuggle up in a blanket, and read! You’ll instantly wonder why you don’t make time to read more often. And you’ll feel so accomplished when you finish a book!

7 – Explore your town/city! Visit local places you’ve never been to. Try a new restaurant, brewery, or cafe. Walk through a new park. Shop in a new store. Ask friends or family members to join you + make a day of it! I just found out that there are like 4 new restaurants/bars opening in the next town over + I cannot wait to check them out!

I think it’s important year round, but especially in the Winter, to keep yourself busy! Use the time to learn, grow, and better yourself, and remember… Spring is just around the corner! 😉

XOXO
