Catch It In Connecticut: The Dressing Room Boutique

 This post is so overdue to be shared, but I suppose I’m glad that I held out because it’s totally perfect for my next Catch It In Connecticut feature! 🙂 In early August, I attended a fun bloggers event at The Dressing Room Boutique in Madison, CT — what a fabulous store with an even more fabulous team, I’m talking A+ customer service.

They sell all kinds of cute acccessories, trendy apparel, and they even have a denim bar! Jaw drop. But if you’re looking for gorgeous evening wear, this is where you need to go. With locations in both Madison and Wallingford they make finding the perfect dresses for weddings, proms, galas, and red carpets (hey, you never know) really easy!

What I loved most about The Dressing Room was how intent Christine (the owner) is about creating a comfortable and memorable shopping experience. Sometimes you walk into a fancy little boutique and the vibe can be a little intimidating; you don’t always feel welcome. I will be honest, when I first approached this store that gut feeling hit out of instinct… but once I was inside and met everyone, I couldn’t have pegged it more poorly.

The amazing staff was so eager to help, to style, and to make sure that you were going to find and leave with items that looking nothing short of stellar on you!

I was lucky to try on so many beautiful gowns (they carry a variety designers at all different price points), and I fell in love with a ton of dresses. However, it was the moment I slipped into this floral fit & flare dress that I was sold. It immediately screamed “wedding guest” outfit to me, but it would work for all kinds of occasions; I think it has some serious holiday potential! 😉

Good news! This dress is still available and is only $90. If this particular one isn’t your style, you must check out some of the other beauties that they have. If you can’t find something you like, I’m going to call your bluff and find you something my darn self!
